Catching Fire

I recently read Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. It is the second book in the Hunger Games Trilogy. It was a great book.

Catching Fire starts out a little after where the Hunger Games leaves you. Peeta barely talks to Katniss and Gale doesn't want to get close to her again. Prim and Ms. Everdeen move into thier new home in Victors Village with Katniss. They are the only ones who live there besides Haymitch and the Mellarks. Shortly after moving into thier new home, President snow pays Katniss visit. He tells her that he knows that she doesn't love Peeta and that she had better convince him that she does on the victory tour or else there will be conciquences. He also tells her that she had better put a stop to the rising rebellion in the districts. So she tries to but instead fuels it even more. Then comes the Quarter Quell, which is a special Hunger Games, in which Katniss and either Haymitch or Peeta must compete in with a male and female victor from the other districts. Katniss and Peeta end up going and Haymitch and Katniss make a deal to keep Peeta alive. They decide to make allies with Finnick Odair,4, and a few other players. They kill of many of the players within the first day due to theawful things that appen every hour like a lightning storm and wild birds attacking them. The machanicle genius, Bee Tee, makes up a plan to get rid of the force field but itn doesn't work. Instead it hurts the. Then a few rebels, including the head game maker, come to rescue Katniss but don't get Peeta. They do rescue Bee tee and Finnick. That's just about where the book ends.
I lov e this book! There is nothing that I did not like about this book. I would reccomend this book to anyone, ESPECALLY if you have read the first book of the trilogy.
