The book that I read was The Red Pyramid written by Rick Riordan. This book is a fantasy adventure. I chose this book because I had just finished another series by the same author and it was really good.

Two sibilings, Sadie and Carter Kane's father summoned an Egyptian god that banishes him on site. They then have to go on a quest to save him. An Evil Egyption god has plans to stop them though. He wants to gain power and rule the world. Sadie and Carter have unknown powers though and will do anything to save thier father. And the world, but can they save both?

I liked a lot of things about the book. One thing that i liked was how it was written. There was a lot of figurative language and it was really funny. It was also adventures though. I also like that the author took his time explaining the whole novel. He didnt start to go to fast at the end.I would recomend this book to anyone who likes a lot of action or likes to learn about ancient times.
