Vampire kisses by Ellen Schreiber

Vampire kisses is about a girl named Raven who lives with her hippie parents. One day changes everything nerd boy comes. Raven isn't to siycked about this. She terns Gothic and loves black forms 1 friend named Becky and has a enemie named Trevor. Raven likes one thing about the town she lives in which is the spooky mansion which no one has lived in in years. One night lights go on in the attic and she knows somethings up. "She doesn't be live in the rumor", but soon does and when she does she ends up finds out there not true yet...

I think everyone in the world she read this book. Its interesting and fun for teens at least. i give this book a ********** stars. My reason is it keeps you hanging and i love it. I think people who are like more on the edge of interesting should read this. I don't think people who aren't active and or don't have much of a social life would enjoy this much or know what there talking about.

Talent

Talent by Zoey Dean is about a group of girls who are spending their summer together hanging out and getting ready for eighth grade. Their names are Mac, Becks, Coco, and Emily. Mac, Becks and Coco have known each other for a long time but Emily just started hanging out with them. This is because Mac is looking for a talent and she cant find one because she thinks she is bad at everything and anything, Becks can surf really well and Coco can dance like there's no tomorrow. Mac saw the way Emily acted her way into the party they were at by pretending to be Davey Woodward's cousin and thought that she could not only be her agent and make her a star but she could use that to win the position of Social Chair. Emily talks to Mac and her friends and they take her shopping and she gets a make over and she practices for a role opposite of Davey, her all time crush. Her plan for the trip to L.A. wasn't to become a movie star, it was to hang out with her friend Paige who wasn't getting much attention from Emily.

The four girls go to a sweet 13 party for one of their other friends and Mac explodes becuase Becks and Coco were lying to her and Emily left because she found out the real reason Mac wanted to make her a movie star. Everyone found out how selfish Mac was and they left. Becks and Coco thought they could live without Mac by their sides all the time but they were a reck. They didn't know what to do. As for Emily she didn't really care. She was hurt, so after the party she went to her hotel and did nothing but hang out with Paige.

Emily was about to leave when Mac and her mom showed up at the airport and told her she got the part in the movie. Of course Emily was still a little upset, but come on! Who doesn't want to be a movie star? As soon as Emily's mom got on the plane, her and Mac went to get Becks and Coco because they couldn't do it without them. They all made up and they started eighth grade the next day.

Max

Max by James Patterson is the 5th book in the Maximum Ride series. It is a great book and is greater then the last. This book is a great thriller and really worth your time to read!!! This book keeps you on the edge of your seat and I couldn't put it down. After reading the last book I couldn't wait to read this one.
Max is about how max and the flock are now famous and in more trouble then ever now that there enemies know where they are. After taking a break in the flying shows Max's mom gets kidnapped because she is trying to prevent global warming. Max is not aloud to get her back unless she becomes an assassin for China. she knows that is not an option so she teams up with the Navy to go save her, and goes under WATER!!! This book has action at ever turn and really gets exciting.
One things I liked was that is was action packed. Another thing I liked was that it kept you guessing and was really funny. One Thing I didn't like was that it left you in suspense. Another thing I didn't was that it had small print. This book is for 12 or over. i recommend this book to anyone who has read the series so far!!

Little Women

Little Women by Louisa May Alcott is a great book to read. This book is about four sisters are learning the value of life and how you can survive of little. I chose Little Women because my grandmother gave it to me and said i should read it.

Meg (16), Jo (15), Beth(13),and Amy (12) are living their lives with very little and want more and more every day. The girls don't realize how much they have until something tragic happens to one of the daughters.

In the book I like that it's a hardcover book with a large font. I also like the fact the you can never tell what is going to happen in Little Women. I definitely reccomend this book to any girl that is looking to read a book that you can't put down

Beastly

Beastly by Alex Flinn caught my attention and it might catch yours too! A different remake of "Beauty and the Beast'' that's going to keep you reading.

He's handsome, his dad is filthy rich, and he has the hottest girl in school wrapped around his finger(Sloane Hagen) Kyle Kingsbury a conceded student at Tuttle High (a private school) is about to get a wake up call. Not only is he conceded he was never nice to anyone in his whole life thinking he was the face of perfection. Until he picked on the wrong person, a very weird student at Tuttle, Kendra who was the perfect target. First he made her like him although she was hideous he offered to be her date for the homecoming dance. Then on the day of the dance he took Sloane and gave a rose to some nerdy scholar because he nor Sloane wanted it. Two rose petals had fell from it, Kyle stuffed them in his pocket. When he seen the witch like Kendra he and Sloane told her off! She warned him bad will happen but he thought it was just to scare him and it kind of worked.Later that night he found Kendra on his bed. She had transformed into a beautiful witch and told kyle he has two years (for the two rose petals) to find someone to love him as much as he loves them. While saying that, she turned him into a ugly beast and handed him a magic mirror that allows him to see anyone in the world.

When his father found out he thought it was a medical disease but when there was nothing to help he sent Kyle to live alone with a maid and a blind tutor. Kyle who changed his name to Adrian (the dark one) became miserable. He tried to find love on the Internet but with the magic mirror, Kendra told him it wouldn't work. Scared of his looks Adrian stayed inside. But with the tutor (will)as his new friend they both planted roses. Until one day a man broke into his green house ,scared of the beast he was willing to give up his daughter for his own life. Adrian took the offer only to find out that his daughter was the nerdy scholar from the dance. She started to hate him for taking her as his "prisoner." Lindy.

It took 5 months but Adrian and Lindy were practically in love. Soon he didn't keep her as prisoner she could leave but she didn't.Instead she loved there with him, but missed her sick cruel father, he was literally sick. Adrian was kind and let her go, she refused but went. As the months went by Adrian was alone again. He watched her sleep in the magic mirror , but only when she was sleeping. Until the last night of the two years he heard her voice,ADRIAN,ADRIAN. She was in the hands a creepy criminal. He ran through subways and streets not caring for the screaming bystanders, til he found an dark ally where he heard his name ADRIAN! ........risking his own life he got shot but he shot back the man was close to dieing and so was he. A kiss from Lindy, just at the stroke of midnight brought him to life and as Kyle.

Happier than ever he gets the girl and the hot looks back, learning a life changing lesson. Still being called Adrian he turned down living with his dad and lives with Lindy and his friend( the tutor .)

I think this book is my new favorite, his thoughts which were funny, exiting, and awkward was awesome. I didn't want to finish it i loved and i think you will too!

The Lost Boy

The Lost Boy by David Pelzer . "A Foster Child's Search For the Love of a Family " . This book is very inspirational . If you are like me then you will be crying throw it two . It is the the second book in the series and the third book is called The Man Named Dave .

Its cold and raining out but I am saying bye to another family that I just was welcomed to there homes some months ago . This is David's life . He never stays in the same home after he got moved to foster care because his mom abused him . He never gets to see him brothers and his dad is a drunk . His life is horribly hard .

I thought this book was just so . I did not like that it was very sad . Also , that he got into lots of trouble . I recommend this book for people 12 and up . People that like inspirational and sad stories would like this book .

The Hunger Games

The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collines . Amazing book on how the future mite be . You will not be able to put the book down but st the same time you will want to save it .This is the first book in the trilogy .The second book is called Catching Fire and the third book is called Mockingjay .

The Hunger Games is about 13 districts that are ruled by the capital and every year they have the hunger games which prevents war . For the hunger games they pick a boy and a girl from every district to compete in a arena were everything is video corded and then put on the television . But there is only one rule , to survive . Every time someone dies there is a picture that goes up into the air . You never know what will happen next .

I loved this book so much . I love how how it ends and how it shows what are world could be like in the future . But I did not like how cruel the capital is and how painfully they died . I recommend this book for people 13 and up . People that can take reading about harsh stuff like war .

Catching Fire

The book that I read is called Catching Fire, by Susan Collins. This is about a girl, Katniss, who wants nothing but the Capitol and the president to leave her and her family alone! I chose this book because it is the second book to The Hunger Games that I have read. If u decide to read Catching Fire, make sure that you read The Hunger Games first. Everything will make much more sense.
Katniss Everdeen a seventeen year old girl, who has probably been through way more than grownups have, is the main character. Im not going to tell you about The Hunger Games, because that is a totally different story. However there are a couple of things you should know. She was sent to the hunger games, where 24 children have to fight to the death in an arena. Katniss and her friend were the winners. However in that book she did something rebellious toward the Capitol and the games. Now in Catching Fire she has to pay. The one thing she really wants is for the president to not kill her and her family. She wants to keep them all safe. They all just want to be left alone. However, really President Snow has the power to do anything to them, and he made sure to personally tell that to Katniss. Now that she has done that rebellious thing, her and her family are in danger! Because of those acts she took, more people and districts are starting rebellions. So, I think that the president by this time is just dying to get rid of Katniss. However, he can't without people knowing that it was him, and staring more rebellions. Since Katniss won the games its a rule, that she doesn't have to go back in the arena. Or does she? Find out what the president plans on doing and what happens or doesnt happen to Katniss.
This was a really good book, and there were many things I liked about it!! One thing I liked was how at the end of every chapter it left you hanging so that you couldn't stop reading and you had to go to the next chapter. Another thing is how in depth and detailed everything is. It is honestly like im actually there. I didn't like though in the story how the book ended, it just left me hanging and wanted to know more. Also, there were a couple slow parts in the story and I didnt like that. I would definetly recomend this book to anyone. I think that everyone should read the whole series sometime in there life. It is really amazing!! =)

Virals

I just finished reading the book Virals, written by Kathy Reichs. This book is based on the t.v series, bones. In bones, there is a forensic anthropoligist named Temperence Brennan. This story is abut Temperence's niece, Tory Brennan.

Tory is a 14 year old girl who moved to the middle of nowhere Morris Island, South Carolina. She moved to live with her marine bioligist father, who she has never known. There is tons of misteries that Tory, and her friends, Hi, Ben, and Shelton discover. Things are never as they seem on this Island. There is illegal labs going on, Break-ins, Tresspassing, and that's the least of it. There is also, Murder. Tory and her friends were hanging out on a nearby island, and discover a dead body, Katherine Heaton. Tory, trying to follow in her aunt's footsteps, refuse to let it go, they find clues, and put the pieces together. But, with their lives in danger with a virus, and a stalker, will it be too late?

This book was amazing! I wished it was neverending! Something I liked was how it always kept you on the edge of your seat. I also liked how the story lead you to believe one thing, then happened to be another. Something I didn't like was how short it was, It's a big book, but should have been longer. I also disliked how the book started. I think the appropriate age group would be middle school. I think anyone younger wouldn't be able to understand it. Also, anybody who likes the t.v show bones would love this book! I know I did!

Maximum Ride The Final Warning

Maximum Ride The Final Warning by James Patterson is the forth book in the Maximum Ride series and they all just keep getting better and more intense then the last one. I decided to read this book because after reading the first, second and third book I couldn't wait to read the next one!!!!! These are truly the best books to read!!!
Maximum Ride The Final Warning is about how Max and Flock step up to do something about global warming and decide to go one place they can really help.... ANTARCTICA !!! What they don't realize is that well they are helping in Antarctica they are also being hunted. This book I will admit was not as great as the other books and was last on the list of my favorites because it didn't have allot of action and stuff. All the book had was a lot of sleeping and eating and flying, but It was still a good book to read!
One thing I liked about the book was that it was easy to read with big words and stuff. I also like how it related to real life. I don't like how the chapters where it really where weird and I didn't like how there was like no action.I Recommend this book to everybody who read this series because it helps you understand the story. I would not recommend this book to anyone who has not because you will be very confused. This book is recommended for 12 and older.

Titanic's last secrets

The book Titanic's last secrets, by Brad Matsen. is about the sinking of the Titanic. The book starts earlier in the evening and continues hour by hour throughtout that awful historic night.

At eight o'clock on April 14th everyone was found at dinner. The weather was clear and calm, and everyone thought it was a perfect night. I doubt that anyone was thinking about hitting a ice burg on this night. For the next few hours, the passengers were having fun with the entertainment the were given, some people wen't to bed. every crew member was going about their normal routine. At eleven o'clock the ship struck the burg. Many passengers slept through impact. Nobody was aware that the ship was sinking until about one o'clock. Everyone was on the deck flipping out on crew members and full of panic. The bow of the boat began to slip under the sea at two o'clock.the story begins to carry on throughout the night. As the people on the lifeboats drift away, their ears are filled with screaming and horrar.

This book sends a shock to my heart. I cried thoughout the end. I would recomend this book to people who are interested in history. I loved the fact that the author made it feel like i was on the boat. I also liked that the book was completly different then any ohter Titanic story. I did not like how in the begining of the book dragged on, also the end just left me hanging, wanting me to grab the next book. On a scale from 1-10, I would rate it about a 8.

the diary of a wimpy kid 2 rodrick rules

Diary of a wimpy kid 2 Rodrick rules

This book is about how Rodrick rules, but he doesn't. I likes this book more than the first one because its more mature but its still baby ish. Greg has a secret that only Rodrick knows about. Rodrick is going to tell everyone so Greg does what he says.I think that unfair and the author should change the book. But that's just my opinion.

Personally i think nobody should read this book and the author should stop writing book until he comes out of his imaginary life...

The Maze Runner

The Maze Runner by James Dashner is a very exciting and thrilling book about a lot of kids trying to escape a deadly maze that stretches for miles. The librarian showed it to us and I knew it was a good book.

This book is about a lot of kids who are trying to escape a maze. The point of the maze is really just a big test but we don't know what it's for. The main people in the book are Thomas, Alby, Newt, Chuck, Teresa, Minho, and Gally. Each month a new person comes into the maze, everyone is in this one spot were the monsters can't come at night because of the moving walls. At the end they try to escape, do they??? You will have to read to find out. This book is action packed and a very good book.

One thing I don't like about this book is that they wait to tell you what's happening and so you know about as much as Thomas. Another thing that I don't like is that it kind of cuts off the ending but that's about it. One thing that I like about the book is that it is full of adventure and you never know what is going to happen next. Another thing that I like is that the book is very detailed and you can visualize what's happening. I recommend this book to everyone who likes adventure books. I recommend this to everyone it is very good.

"The Second Summer of the Sisterhood"

The book I read is called "The Second Summer of the Sisterhood". The author of this book is Ann Brashares. I chose this book because I read the first book and I thought it would be interesting to see what happens in the second book. The book is mainly about how the four best friends have their summer adventures again.

The four best friends Bridget, Carmen, Tibby, and Lena are apart for another summer. They wanted to have a great summer, but they had to be apart, so they had to make the best of it. Bridget goes to Alabama.Carmen stays home. Tibby goes to college. And Lena is at her house for some time and also with her grandparents some time. So they send each other a pair of pants and they write each other letters to stay in contact with each other.

Two things I liked about this book are how it was very descriptive and adventurous. Two things I didn't like were how it switched from one person's point of view to the next, and how some parts were a little boring. I would recommend this book to my friends and to people who are 7 and up. I would rate this book 4 stars!!!

The Five People You Meet In Heaven

The book I read was The Five People You Meet In Heaven. It was written by Mitch Albom. It is about a 63 year old man who dies and goes to heaven and meets five people who changed his life. Those five people explain what part they have in his life and they are there to help him because he had some part in their deaths.I chose this book because some of my friends read it last year and said it was really good.
Two things I liked about the book are how much Eddie cared about other peoples feelings and how the people he met were willing to help him understand the events in his life. Two things I didn't like about the book are that Eddie has something to do with the deaths of the people and it's kinda sad. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read.

Maximum Ride Saving the World and Other exterme Sports

Maximum Ride Saving The World and Other Exterme Sports by James Patterson is the third book in the maximum Ride series and better then the first and the second!! I chose this book because after reading the first and second I really got hooked on the series and all the books. I think that this book is the best one yet!
Maximum Ride Saving the World and Other Extreme Sports is about how Max is trying to escape the "school" and find out how to destroy the "Institute" ( a really evil company the creates mutant kids to survive the world ending). Max has to do all that well aggravating scientist, dealing with her weird voice in her head and trying to find out what she has to do to save the world. This book will keep up wanting more and more and it does not let you on the action.
One thing I really liked about this book was that these books never get boring or old there is always something new to read about. I also liked how the author described some the experiments and people, this really helped you get into the story more. one thing I didn't I Like was that the author changed between people to fast. i also didn't like how he left you hanging (again)!! I recommend this book to anyone who read the first and second book of the Maximum Ride series and to anyone who really wants to find a good book to read. I recommend this book to anyone 12 and up and anyone who likes a action packed story!!

Number The Stars by Lowis Lorey

How do you think you're life would be if u were a Jewish living in Germany? Well, in Number the Stars by Louis Lowry Annemarie Johansen and her best friend Ellen Rosen have that problem. Ellen is Jewish and Annemarie is trying to get Ellen and her family out of Germany so the soldiers don't get to them. However, Annemarie cant do it alone. Her Family will help along the way with her dangerous journey. Will she make it? Will her friend and her family suffer the consequences?

Annemarie runs in to some soldiers on the way and get put into some sticky situations. One of the most difficult situations is when the German police question the Johansens about the Rosens. Annemarie has to pretend that Ellen is her sister Lisa. Ellen is wearing the Star of David around her neck. Annemarie has to rip it off before the German police see it.

I would recomend this book to anyone who likes books about history even though it is fictional. I never wanted to put it down.

Coraline

The book that I recently read was called Coraline. Neil Gaiman wrote this book. Many of you are probably familiar with Coraline since there was a movie made a few years ago based on the book. The book is different from the movie so I would say to read the book.
In this book a girl named Coraline has to adjust to a new life style when she moves from her home to a new one. She is an only child, so there is never anyone to play with and her parents are always working and rarely have time for her even though they work at home. One day, Coraline decides to explore the grounds around her house and she finds some broken and rusty tennis court, dead garden and a covered well. While she is there she meets a black cat who stares at her for a second then scampers away. When it is time for dinner, Coraline heads home. The next day it rains so Coraline goes exploring around the house and finds a little door that leads to nowhere. That night, a mouse from upstairs wakes her and runs throught the door that now has a tunnel in it. Coraline crawls through and descovers her other parents and a whole world perfect for her. When she tries to leave, they take her parents.
Coraline wants to save her parents but her other mother captured them so she has to go back to the other world. She has to face many obstacles and hardships throughout the book. It is a very easy read. It has a little more than a hundred pages. It was a great book. It was very hard for me to put down and it took me three days to finish. I would definately reccomend this book to others. I think you should be 9 to how ever old since it has some parts that younger kids wouldn't like.

maximum Ride Schools out forever

Maximum Ride Schools Out Forever by James Patterson is the 2 book in the Maximum Ride series that really lets you get to know the flock better. After I couldn't put the first book down I knew that the second one was going to be even better! This book is great and really steps up the series!
In Maximum Ride Schools Out Forever Max decides to stay with a women Anne well Fang gets better from being injured by an eraser. Well they stay there Anne makes max and the flock go to a school with uniforms and bossy teachers, which they all hate, well trying to keep away from erasers trying to break into the school and kill them. There doing all this well trying to find there parents and help Max with her big mission to save the world. This book is really good, funny and dripping with sarcasm from Max and there talking dog Total.
One things I liked about this book was that the author had unexpected action. Another thing I liked that he did was he Also had really short words that you could understand you it was not as difficult to read the book. One thing I didn't like about they book was that some of the chapters were really short and didn't say much. I also didn't like how they left you hanging ( I don't like when books leave you hanging). I would recommend this book to anyone who read the first book and really liked it. I would not recommend this to someone who didn't read the first book because then you won't know whats going on! This is a great book for ages 12 and up and allot of people would love this book.

Twilight by Stephanie Meyer

Forks is cold. It's rainy. It's almost never sunny. That's why they live here. The Cullens i mean. They're vampires. They sparkle, they don't have fangs, and they have one big clan in Italy called the Volturi.
Bella Swan didn't want to move away, but she did just to make her weird mother happy, with her new boyfriend Phil. She moved from smokin' Phoenix, Arizona to dreary Forks, Washington. There she meets Jessica, Mike, Angela and Eric. All the guys want her, and all the girls envy her.She can have any guy she wants, but she chooses Edward instead. Edward Cullen is hot. He has the emo swoony hair, and caramel colored eyes. He loves Bella, but he's a vampire, and there's a chance that he could kill her. (haha) Edward's family consists of all adopted teens/vampires. There's Alice (sees the future), Jasper (changes moods) Emmett, Rosalie, Carslile and Esme (parents). They all approve of Bella, everyone but Rosalie. Then the tracker vamps come to kill Bella, James, Laurent, and Victoria all hate Edward. In the end, James dies and Victoria swears revenge. Theres 3 more books, New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking dawn.
I kinda liked Twilight. I read it, over and over again. I didn't like Bella because she has very low self esteem. Mostly she sounds ok, but at other parts you just wanna kill her. She sounds depressed. No one like depressing girls who are dating vampires. I read this book, because i saw the movie. I'd rate it 3/5.

Maximum Ride Book 1

My third independent reading book was a graphic novel Maximum Ride book 1. It was a really slow book until the middle. Its about a good of kids and teenagers who have wings and cant be found by society or they will be tested and dissected. One morning after breakfast they all decide to go outside to pick the fresh strawberries and a guy named Ali takes a little girl named Angel and leaves on a helicopter. Maximum gets really sad and determined to find Angel because Angel is like a daughter to Maximum. Angel is taken to a laboratory and they test her knowledge and reflexes. At this point Angel thinks everyone has forgotten her and she will be tested forever and forever will end when they decide to dissect her. Then maximum goes with her two other friends Nudge(girl) and Fang(boy) leaving behind two boys Iggy(older) and Gazzy (younger) home alone. Gazzy does not take it well and so Iggy and Gazzy make a deadly plan... To figure out what that plan is check out this book at the library. I recommend this book to anime lovers and people who like slight romance that you can even tell if your not paying attention between Fang and Nudge.Read This BOOOOK

DramaCon Book 1

For my second independent reading book i chose to read a graphic novel called drama con. This book was very good. Its about a a boy named Derek and a girl named Christie who goes to a drama con for vacation with their two other friends. When they get there Christie is exited to see new things and show off her new comic she made with her boyfriend Derek. Its all great until Derek starts flirting with other girls and Christie gets mad. She runs off and runs into a guy, she has no idea who he is but instead of saying oops my bad and walking away, she hugs him and starts crying and venting about her boyfriend being a loser and stuff. From then on they were friends and Slowly Christie falls in love with Matt(the boy she ran up to) and when Derek sees them kissing he.... Well it looks like you have to read it to figure that out. I recommend this to all girls who love anime and romance.

diary of a wimpy kid

Diary of a wimpy by Jeff Kinney

This book is about a boy who goes to high school for the first time. His best friend Rowley is a total fool. Greg trys to teach rowley how to be "cool" but ends up being less cool than Rowley. Greg acidently breaks Rowleys arm which ends there friend ship in away that doesnt envolve a brocken arm really.

I think this book is * star book. My first reason is i fished it in basicly one day. Secondly it was mostly baby words. Last of all the book is pointless. Every good book is supposed to have a point and this one had not one point so i peronally think noone else should suffer and read this book. But if you do you will be outragged by what you just read and NOT in a god way.

Impulse

The poetic novel "Impulse" by Ellen Hopkins is about three teenagers - Tony, Vanessa, and Connor - who attempt suicide, but fate has interfered with their plans and saved them. Now, they are put in a psych hospital, trying to find a quick way out and also kicking their habits. I have previously read "Crank" and "Glass" by the same author, and loved it! So I decided to step away from that series and see what else Ellen Hopkins wrote.

The novel follows the story of three teenagers: homosexual Tony, bipolar Vanessa, and rich Conner. Tony's painful childhood forces him to turn his problems to pills. Vanessa's pain can be taken away from her, thanks to a blade. Conner, who has everything in life, gives into pressure and decides to do one thing he thinks is rational: pull the trigger. Although, fate interferes with their plans, and saves them from dying. Fate also brings them together by bringing them to a psych hospital in Reno, Nevada. As the story progresses, you hear about their painful pasts while they try to find a way out quickly. Also, an event happens that will change their lives forever.

The book was powerful and emotional, which made it enjoyable to read! I think it really teaches teenagers, my age and older, that suicide can hurt you and affect others around you. Although, some parts of the book made it a little uncomfortable to read because of the material that Ellen Hopkins mentioned in it, such as details about cutting and so on. Other than that, it was a very smooth read and I think if you enjoyed "Crank" or "Glass", you definitely will enjoy "Impulse". Even if you haven't read any of the books by Ellen Hopkins, the book is definitely amazing! Although, if you feel uncomfortable with suggestive language or material that are mentioned, I recommend that you don't read it. It's another amazing novel by an amazing and unique author!

Soldier X

I read Soldier X by Don wulffson. This book is about a boy named Erik Brandt.Erik is a sixteen year old boy who is in the German millitary on the Eastern front. I chose this book because it is war, and adventure also the book is fiction that talks about action and secrets.

As Erik had a adventure from Nureburg, Germay to Seattle,Washington he finds true love and a better life. During a bruttle battle on the Eastern front Erik is badly wounded and disguises him self as a russian soldier. Erik is in a hospital and that is when they meet. They fight there way to stay away from german patrols and not getting killed.

The two thing that I like about the book was it was action, war, and adventure also there is a little romance but not much. Anothe was that it was a fast book to read once you get into it. the bad things about the book was the end because it does'nt tell what happen to them. I would reccomend this book to my friends.

Glass by Ellen Hopkins

What do you do when your son, is a product of rape? When your father left your family for meth? When your sister's girlfriend hates you? When your addicted to crank? There's one answer for Kristina/Bree. You do more drugs.

Kristina, before the meth, was ok. She hadn't met Adam, or Chase. She hadn't gotten raped by Brendan. She didn't have a son, Hunter, to care for. But when she started doing drugs, her addiction (the monster) takes over. Her ego is now called Bree. Bree talks to her. Bree is smart and cunning. She then meets Trent, another addict. They then fall in love. Kristina/Bree ends up getting kicked out of her house, because her mother knows about it all. Trent and her live with Trent's cousin, Brad. Brad is also an addict, his wife Angela left him for awhile. He has two daughters, who Kristina ends up nannying, because she is fired from 7-11. Angela ends up coming back, and Trent leaves because he has to go back to college, where he hooks up with diffrent girls. Kristina deals drugs just to get money. Trent comes back, and they buy an apartment. Kristina brings her son, Hunter to live with them, but ends up giving him back to her mom, and her mom's boyfriend, Scott, and Jake, his son.
Kristina and Trent move out, and they are on the run. They get caught, and..... READ IT!

I thought this was probably the best book ever. It's told like a true drug addict, and thats the best part, because you know exactly what Kristina is thinking. The plot is also good. Trying to love her son, and meth are very hard for her. It's sad though. I chose this book because, AMBER BECKER, SKYLAR KEIFFER, and EMILY BAILEY reccomended them to me. I'd rate this book 15 out of 5.

The Journey (part of the GUARDIANS OF GA'HOOLE)

I read the book THE JOURNEY from the series GUARDIANS OF GA' HOOLE. Katheryn Lasky is the author of this book. This story is about an owl who goes on an adventure trying to put a stop to known and unknown forces of evil and finds his long lost sister in the process. I chose this book because it involves lots of adventures.

THE JOURNEY is a story of an owl named Soren and the rest of his friends -- Twilight (aka Twi), Digger, and Gylfie (aka Glyf) -- all join him in the struggle against the evil forces. While searching for the great Ga'Hoole tree, Soren runs into his old nest-maid snake, Mrs. Pithiver. When they come across a great storm, they decide to stop at a forest known as The Beaks. After the storm passes, they become aware of how much luxury is within The Beaks. Once Mrs. Pithiver snaps them out of their fantasy, she reminds them that they are on a mission to find the Great Ga'Hoole Tree. Once they find the tree, they are separated into what are known as chaws. Soren and Digger are put into a chaw where they have to pick up live coals in forest fires; Twilight was put into a search and rescue chaw to help save owlets caught in these fores fires; and Gylfie was put into a weather chaw. During a devastating forest fire, Digger is sent out with Twilight and they rescue Soren's sister Eglantine. All of the owlets are in some kind of trance that makes them babble on and on about the Glaux or the owls heaven.

Two things that I liked about the book were that there was a lot of action. The another thing that I liked about the book was that there was a lot of suspense. One thing that I didn't like about this book was that there was still too many unanswered questions at the end of the book. Another thing that I didn't like about THE JOURNEY was that they leave you hanging at the end of the story. This book is age appropriate for anyone who can read. I would definitely recommend this to a friend. Animal lovers and girls would manly be the ones to like this book- maybe Twilight fans .

Dear John

"Dear John" by Nicholas Sparks is centered around a 27-year-old man named John Tyree who is in the army, and during his tour of duty, he falls in love with a college girl named Savannah Lynn Curtis. Throughout the whole book, it shows not only their love for each other, but their history - including John's painful one. This book may be cheesy and hard to relate to some people, but there are things in this book you can relate to. I found this book to be very interesting because - like everyone else - I saw the movie trailer for the movie and decided to read it before I saw it. The book may have been different from the movie, but it was interesting to see both versions of an amazing story such as this.

The novel is centered around John Tyree, one of the protagonists. In the beginning, John doesn't really have the best life in the world. Growing up with a single father in North Carolina can be rough for a person, especially John. His mother left him when he was a small child and he has been waiting for her to come back since. During those years, John and his father didn't have such a close relationship. The only conversation that seemed to spark between them was about coins. When John was a little boy, he and his father was attended conventions about coins and talked about various types. Although, those conversations and road trips ended when John was a teeanger and his attitude got the best of him. After high school, deciding that he has nothing to do with his life, John enlists in to army. On one of his leaves during his tour of duty, he meets a girl named Savannah after he gets her bag when it fell in the ocean. After that, John and Savannah were fascinated with each other, and soon, they fell in love in just two weeks. When the two weeks is up, John has to go back on his tour of duty. Savannah writes him a letter saying that she'll wait for him and making him promise that he would tell her everything while he's on his tour of duty. When his tour is almost up, the tragedy of September 11 happens. John has to make a choice whether to go back or extend his duty. Also, something happens to both John and Savannah that will change their lives forever; all because of one letter.

The book really gives a good punch in the gut in some parts. That's a good thing though! It's very emotional in some parts and it really gives you some surprises you probably didn't expect. Although, it's very boring and slow in some parts, which makes teenagers want to give up reading this book. Other than that, it's a very easy read! It's an amazing book and it will leave you paralyzed at the end. I know it left me like that! I definitely suggest it to anyone who's interested in romance, but isn't afraid to learn a little bit of military tid-bits on the way. Nicholas Sparks does not disappoint!

Star Girl

The book I read was Star Girl by Jerry Spinelli. There is a girl that comes to a new school and everyone thinks she's weird. I chose this book because it was reccomended by my best friend.

Star Girl wanted to fit in but she was too weird. So she tries and acks like everyone else. She tries to act like everyone else by dressing like everyone instead of wearing long dresses and skirts. She buys everyone something like flowers and roses and she is very nice. She will put it on there desks in classes.

One thing I liked about the book was that there were lots of funny parts in it. Another reason why I liked this book is because Star Girl was very nice to everyone and not mean. One thing I didn't like was that I didn't like the way it ended. Another thing I didn't like was that I didn't like the fact that she was trying to be nice to everyone even though they didn't like her. I strongly think this is a good book for kids 10 through 14. I would recommend this to a girl.

The Last Song

"The Last Song" by Nicholas Sparks is the story of a girl named Veronica "Ronnie" Miller who, along with her little brother, is forced to spend a summer with her father in North Carolina. During her summer, she falls in love with a beach volleyball player and college-bound boy named Will, and finds herself in a summer filled with surprises, twists, and a ton of drama. One of the things I loved about this book is that it doesn't revolve around the romance, but around the family aspect of the book. Also, you really get to know Ronnie's character and almost feel the same emotions she has throughout the whole book.

In the beginning of "The Last Song", Ronnie finds herself wanting to do anything but spend a whole summer with her father. After some certain circumstances that happened in her home in New York City, her mother decides that it's best for Ronnie to spend some time with her father. Although, Ronnie hates him because he abandoned her family a long time ago and didn't bother to call or write at all. She decides for the whole summer that she'll ignore him and pretend he's not there. While she does, she meets a girl named Blaze and her abusive boyfriend Marcus. She soon befriends them, but one of them will betray her. At the same time, she runs into - literally - Will Blakelee, a beach volleyball player and Vanderbilt-bound boy who she finds herself falling in love with. With all of the bumps, twists, and turns of the summer, she finds out something tragic has happened to her father that has made her feeling guilty about ignoring him and not spending time with him.

In this book, there were definitely a lot of emotional elements and surprises that made it so exciting to read! One of the things I loved about this book is that you can really relate to Ronnie's character, whether you have a father or any other parent who hasn't come in contact with you in years; or it can be falling in love with that person who has that total effect on you that you never knew you could experience. Also, it has life lessons. In the book, I learned that you shouldn't waste your life partying like Ronnie did in the beginning and you should learn to enjoy life and make the best of what you have. Another thing I learned is that love does exist, whether it's falling in love with your boyfriend or a person you barely know; or it's family love, like loving your parents, siblings, or anyone in your family. Of course there are things I didn't enjoy much in this book. What I really didn't like about "The Last Song" is that some parts were dragging and slow. Another thing is how predictable some parts can be. Other than that, it's a very amazing book! You might want to grab a dictionary, some tissues, and a blanket because you will not be able to put the book down; there are a few words that will be difficult to read; and you will cry! I recommend it to any teenage who just loves reading! The author, Nicholas Sparks does not disappoint!

maximum Ride The Angel experiment the book review

Maximum Ride the Angel Experiment by James Patterson is a thrilling book about 6 amazing kids with the ability to fly. This book kept me on the edge of my seat the whole time and I really loved it.I first found this book in the library and thought nothing of it until I started reading the first page and I loved it.
Maximum Ride is a great book about 6 kids Max ( the leader), Fang ( the silent one), Iggy ( the blind one), Nudge(the fashion obsessed pretty one), Gazzy( the annoying one) and Angel( the cute little one) and how they try to escape the evil erasers(evil mutant half-human half-wolf things) that are trying to attack them and bring them back to a place called " the School" were they would lock them in dog crates and do experiments on them. This book had the action going through he whole thing and I loved how Max never followed any ones rules. This book really takes you into Max's world and you get to see the world  from a different point of view.
2 Things that I liked about the book was that you would think the action was over but in like the last five pages it gets really intense all the time. I also liked how the chapters where short then long and kept changing size. 2 things I didn't like was that it was sometimes confusing. I also didn't like how the author would change there mind allot. this book is recommended for ages 12 and up and for anyone who likes action and allot of sarcasm.

Glass

The book Glass, by Ellen Hopkins, is a realistic fiction. This book is about a girl, Kristina, that is adicted to glass, or Crystal Meth. She gets pregnant by being raped, and her life slowly starts to fall into pieces.

Kristina lives with her mother and Scott. When she has her baby, they all think he will be mentaly challenged. But he turns out to be fine. His name is Hunter. Kristina gets high every day, and her mother doesnt think it is good mothering, which it isnt. She kicks her out of the house beacause she brings a man home that is a mojor drug kind of guy. His name is Trey. When Kristina gets kicked out she goes to Trey's cousin house, Brad. He has a spare room that she stays in. Trey goes to college so he cant see her all the time. Every time he visits, they do adult things. They also smoke all the time, When Thanksgiving comes around, Kristina doesnt go home, that make her mom very upset. Her and Trey get their own apartment, but get kicked out in a few weeks after they move in. They were not paying rent. When Kristinas mom invites her back home, she loves and cares for her son, that she believes doesnt even know who she is.:(

In conclusion, this book is hard to follow. But it keeps your mind going. I did not like how you had to read the very top heading to understand what that page was about. I would rate this book about an 8, because, like I said it was hard to follow. But I am going to Keep reading the following, Burned andmpulse. Also dont miss the first book, Crank!

D-day invasion of Europe,

This book is narrative by: AL HINE. This book is about D-day and the war between Europe and America against the germen. I chose this book because I like history and war. I also like short books this book has 146 pages.

This book is about d-day and the American and Europe plans when they where invading Normandy (the germens had that land at the time). They also show you where the troops landed and invaded. The Americans and Europeans wanted their land back the Germans had the land at the time. But the Germans didn’t want to give up the land. So they got into a war over it.

My favorite part of the book was when they described how they invaded Europe and that there was a lot of pictures. I did not like the boring parts like when they were talking about how the war started and stuff like that. I think that this age group is 8-above. I personally liked the book I recommend this book to people that like history.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets

Hey its me once again. This book, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets, by J.K Rowling, is a book full of mystery and suspense. This book is for readers who like to be put on the edge of their seat.
This book is about a thirteen year old boy by the name of Harry Potter. He lives with his aunt, uncle, and cousin, The Dursleys, on number four, Private Drive. But what is really interesting about this boy is that he is a wizard. He goes to the school Hogwarts, Witchcraft and Wizardry. His two best friends are Ron Weasley, and Hermione Granger. Something odd is happening at the school. People are getting attacked by something lurking in the school. When a mysterious diary turns up, more than fifty years old, Harry finds out the truth about what lies inside the Chamber of Secrets.
I recommend this book to whoever likes magical, fictional, suspenseful books. This book is excellent for readers who enjoy a good book. READ THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!

A Northern Light

I read A Northern Light, written by Jennifer Donnelly. This book is about a girl named Mattie Gokey. All Mattie wants to do is raise money, grow up, and go to college. I chose this book because it looked good, and my friends talked about it.

On Matties adventure of raising money, working, hanging out with Royal, helping her family at home, and taking care of everything, something happens along her way. While she is trying to raise money, she sees that Grace Brown, the one who gave her letters to burn years before, is dead in a lake. Mattie, unable to burn the letters before, doesn't know if she should burn them, or look at them. With what she does, Mattie also descovers the trouth behind things she never thought about, Grace's murder, and the whole story behind it.

Two things I liked about the book was how fast you could read it, another is how good it was! And how much mystery it had to it. One thing I didn't like was how the end was, and how it left you hanging. Another is how it doesn't have a sequel. The appropriate age group is anywhere from 7th grade up! I would so reccomend this to a friend! I loved it! I think teenage girls would like this book because it is a mystery, and a love story all in one.

Prom

The book I read was Prom, written by Laurie Halse Anderson. The book is about a prom being canceled, because the math teacher stole the money. In the process of trying to help save up money, Ashley, the main character decides to turn her life around.

In Pennsylvania, in a bad school, with students with drug problems, alcohol problems, and always being late, Ashley, has a best friend named Nat. Nat is one of the people who will actually be someone. Nat has always dreamed about prom, more than just a dance, a real magical night! But, the teacher steals the money, and Nat is determined to make prom happen, with money,or without. In the mean time, Ashley is trying to deal with school, making up detentions, her family at home, and her boyfriend Tj. She ends up learning about how important school is for the future, with many adventures along the way!

I really loved this book! I liked how as soon as you picked it up, you couldn't put it down! I also liked how the chapters are very short! So, if you don't have alot of time, you can still read some chapters. Something I don't like is how there is no sequals. I also didn't like how it got confusing with characters at some points. I think an appropriate age group is for 7th and 8th graders, because there is some bad language. I would recomend this to all my friends. I think alot of girls would like this book, not really guys. But Prom was a great book! (:

Linger

The book I read was Linger by Maggie Steifvater. The book is the second in the series after Shiver. It continues about the lives of Sam and Grace and the strugles they have. I chose to read this book because I liked the first one.
Sam is still secretly staying the night in Grace's room, even after her parents know they are dating. Sam got a full-time job at the book store he used to work at during the summer, for money and something to do while Grace is at school. The only big thing in their lives right now is that Grace isn't feeling well. Sam thinks its just a cold and that it will pass but Grace isn't telling him every simptom. She constanly gets bloody noses, she gets really bad migranes, she coughs constanly, and she gets sharp pains in her stomach.Time passes and Grace doesn't get any better if not worse, but she puts how she feels aside and focuses on Sam's birthday. He doesn't expect anything from anyone because his mom and dad are in jail, Beck's a wolf for the rest of his life, and he doesn't expect Grace to get him something. But she does. Sam writes his own songs, so Grace gets him a studio to record in so he can try to get a record deal. Sam is getting anxious to go, but one night Grace wakes up in her sleep and starts screaming and crying because she is in so much pain. He gets out of bed to comfort her and her parents walk into her room and see Sam there. Her dad freaks and starts yelling for Sam to get out of his house. Grace is okay after a few minutes and her mom wants Grace to go to the hospital but she refuses. Grace is grounded, no phone, no car, and no Sam.On the day Grace and Sam are supposed to go to the recording studio, Grace asks if she can go with him because it was the only gift he got for his birthday and of course they say no. Her parents are going to an art show and aren't going to be home as usual and they are only taking one car, so her dad's car keys are sitting on the counter and after her parents leave Grace grabs the keys and goes to Sam's and they go to the recording studio. After Sam and Grace are done at the studio they go back to Sam's house. When they get inside all they see is everything destroyed and Cole with a broom in his hand hurrying to get everything picked up. Sam helps him clean everything up and while he is doing that Grace falls asleep in the chair. After the mess is cleaned up Sam and Cole take Grace home. She gets yelled at, but whats new about that? She goes up to her room to go to bed and she can't fall asleep. She has a little debate with herself and finally choses to pack her clothes and go back to Sam's house after her parents are sleeping. When Grace gets to Sam's house she goes right upstairs and lays in his bed and waits for him to get out of the shower. When he's done they just lay there and talk until Grace starts coughing up blood and has to be taken to the hospital.
Two things I liked about this book are the way Sam and Grace feel about each other and how much they care about each others safety. Two things I didn't like about the book are the ending and how each character in this book had a really bad life before they were wolves. I would recommend this book to kids twelve and older.

Diary Of A Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules

the title of this book is diary of a Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules. the author is Jeff Kinney.the book is about and kid named greg and his friend rowley and how they survive 7 grade.I chose this book because it looked like a good book.

The main charector Greg wanted to be popular . So he did all these things to make himself popular non of them work.Someof these things were joining the wrestling team. After he lost Fregly and Patty he gave up on wrestling. Then he hurt Rowly when playing a game the whole school thought he was a jerk. At the end of the story Greg and Rowley are friends again and get in the year book after all.

Two things I liked about the book was that it never got boring. Also it was always upbeat.two things i didn't like about the book was that it didn't stay in one scene for alot it was always moving. Also I didn't think that the book would be that short. I think it would be appropriate for ages between 8 -12. I would recommend this to my family and friends.

Pendragon Book 7 the Quilan games

The book The Quilan Games by D.J. MacHale is a interesting story about Bobby Pendragon and his adventures through time and space and his fight against Saint Dane. This book is very good and one of my favorite series.(Almost Identical to the Hunger Games)

The Quilan Games is a great book about Bobby Pendragon, and his friends throughout each book, Bobby is on the territory Quilan and its all about games. The people are controlled by the capitol and have to bet on these games to have enough money to live. The games are a very strange things but the whole point is to stay alive and at the end of the games the two best people fight it out to the death.

One thing that I didn't like about the author is that he doesn't always make everything clear at first but at the end it always makes sense. Another thing is that sometimes the author suspects you know whats going on in the book. One thing i do like is that it is very action packed and there is never a dull moment. Another thing that I like is you can't put the book down ever. This is a great book but I would recommend reading the first books in the series. I think everybody would like this book.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid 2

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules by Jeff Kinney is about three kids Rodrick, Greg, and Rowley. IT takes mostly at his house and at his friends. Greg talks about his summer vacation and everything that he does. This book is very boring I would not read it if i were you.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid is dumb and pointless. All that it talks about is Greg and his everyday adventures. He writes in a journal and it starts on Monday and goes in numerical order. A couple of his adventures are swimming lessons, video games, birthday party and much more. I was probably never interested in the book once.

One thing a like about the author is that he does not talk about the same stuff over and over again but he does sometimes refer back to past events. Another thing that I like that the author talked about different characters throughout the book. One thing that i don't like about the author is that the book is pointless and changes from day to day, so there is never a real exciting part it just is boring. Another thing that I don't like about the author is that the book is that everything is very immature. I recommend this book for people 4th-6th grade and I don't think this book would interest anyone but boys. Do not read this books they are terribad.
