Beastly by Alex Flinn

I am a beast.
A beast. Not quite wolf or bear, gorilla or dog but a horrible new creature who walks upright—a creature with fangs and claws and hair springing from every pore. I am a monster.
You think I'm talking fairy tales? No way. The place is New York City. The time is now. It's no deformity, no disease. And I'll stay this way forever—ruined—unless I can break the spell.
Yes, the spell, the one the witch in my English class cast on me. Why did she turn me into a beast who hides by day and prowls by night? I'll tell you. I'll tell you how I used to be Kyle Kingsbury, the guy you wished you were, with money, perfect looks, and the perfect life. And then, I'll tell you how I became perfectly . . . beastly.
Kyle didn't believe in magic. Especially witches. Or beasts. Actually, he didn't even believe in love! When he torments a young witch, the witch reveals that he has 2 years to fall in love and be kissed. He is then turned into a bear/dog thingy mcjig...
The witch gives him a mirror to show him everyone in the world... Kyle soon settles on a poor, abused girl named Lindy. One night he discovers an intruder, who trades his daughter for his freedom. His daughter end up being Lindy... Kyle's blind teacher and his maid, Magda all take care of Kyle and Lindy. Kyle's ather is a big news guy and he didn't want anything to do with Kyle being a beast. One question: Will Lindy break the spell?
I chose the book Beastly because I saw the trailer for the movie. I really like the modern twist on Beauty and The Beast. I reccomend this to everyone who likes books into movies.... I'd rate it 4 1/2 stars.....
