Twilight by: Stephenie Meyer

The first book of the book Twilight Sega: Twilight, written by Stephenie Meyer, is narrated by the main character and seventeen year-old girl, Bella Swan. The main characters in this book are Edward Cullen, the vampire Bella falls in love with and can read minds, Alice Cullen, Edwards vampire sister and vampire that can see the future, Jasper Cullen, Edwards vampire brother and the one who can control emotions, Rosely Cullen, Edwards beautiful vampire sister and envy's Bella for being human, Emmet Cullen, Edward's vampire brother, Carlise and Eseme Cullen, Edwards vampire parents, Charlie Swan, Bella's real dad, Jacob Black, Bella's friend as a kid, James, an evil vampire who preys on humans, Victoria, an evil vampire, and Laurent another evil vampire.

When Bella leaves sunny Arizona to live with her father in the small, cold town of Forks she doesn’t expect to like it. If living in Forks, with its constant mist and rain, wasn’t bad enough she will have to make a whole new set of friends and settle into a new school. Bella soon makes some new friends at school but when she finds interest in a boy named Edward Cullen sitting with his brothers and sisters in the cafeteria. Edward is extremely attractive, almost inhumanly beautiful, and yet he is an outsider too. At first Edward is rude, sometimes it almost seems like he can’t stand to be in the same room as her, but eventually they strike up an odd friendship. Even as Bella falls hopelessly and irrevocably in love with Edward, she still can’t exactly find out what makes him so different to everyone else. On a trip to the beach, Bella is told of a legend about the “cold ones”, a group of blood drinkers who have don't hunt humans but are still not welcome on Indian land because vampires are not to be trusted, by her friend Jacob Black. Realising Edward is vampire changes nothing for Bella, she knows that she still loves him even if he’s not human. Edward and his whole family are vampires. Edward himself was made a vampire when he was seventeen years-old, although that was at the end of World War I. For Edward his love for Bella is both a delight and a torment. A delight because she is the first person he has loved since he was made a vampire and even though he can read minds, he can't seem to read Bella's. A torment because although he has sworn off human blood and only hunts animals the craving for human blood never really leaves him and the very scent of her makes him want blood even more. He feels he must protect her though. In the end are they really safe?

I chose this book because i saw the movie first before i read it and i was in love with the movie so i thought "Hey why not give the book a shot?". If your not into the emotional love stories then DO NOT READ THIS BOOK. If you are you'll be swept off your feet. I love the way Bella thinks and speaks in this book. It's like she's on a whole new level and once you read this book it will diffidently make you think and look at everything in a different way. What i didn't like about Twilight was that the end is to rushed. Everything happens to fast and they make it sound like a happily ever after right away. I really enjoyed this book and i suggest to anyone who reads this and falls in love with it like i did to read the other Twilight Sega's like New Moon, Eclipse, and Breaking Dawn. Also anyone who likes these books should watch the movies. Yes, the movies and books are a bit different but i doubt you won't like them if your into these sort of things.
