The Scorch Trials

The book that I read was called “The Scorch Trials.” (The sequel to “The Maze Runner”) This book is written bye James Dashner, a great author. The book is about the Gladers going through a desert.
In this gripping book, Thomas and his friends have to cross a huge desert called The Scorch in order to get to a safe haven. One more reason that the group wants to get to the safe haven would be because they have been told that they have the disease that you can only get if you are bitten by the Cranks, the disease is called The Flare. While on their way across the desert, a storm hits and kills seven boys. In order to get out of the storm the boys must go into a building. While in the building, the boys are met by a bunch of Cranks. All of the Cranks threaten to kill the boys. Luckily, Thomas makes a deal with the Cranks that keeps them from getting killed. Thomas also meets a Crank named Brenda, she acts kind of awkward. While going downstairs the roof of the building collapses and Thomas and Brenda get separated from the other boys. The two groups must find their own way to the safe haven before the time runs out to get the cure. Will the two groups make it in time?? Are Thomas and Teresa meant to be together?? Find out when you read this great novel!!
Two things that I liked about this book are that it was perfectly paced and that it was also never boring. There was nothing that I didn't like this book. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good book and someone who is probably younger.
