Mockingjay

At the beginning of Mockingjay, Katniss goes on a flier to see the burnt remains of district 12. She visits her house in the Victor’s Village and finds the same roses that President Snow wears in his shirt pocket. Then she leaves to district 13, the only safe house for the rebels. When she gets back, President Coin (the leader of the rebellion) asks her if she will be the Mockingjay, the symbol of the rebellion. Later, President Coin announces that they will try to rescue the tributes captured by the Capitol. Gale volunteered to also go on this mission. Katniss decided to make a list of things she wanted to happen if she was going to be the Mockingjay. She showed the President and she agreed to her demands. One demand was that the tributes would not be punished for whatever they told the Capitol. Later, Katniss went down to a secret floor with Plutarch Evensbee she found her stylists being tortured. The guards were immediately punished for that. The rescue mission was successful and everyone but Peeta was saved. That night Peeta was broadcast on television and he was interviewed. The rest of this book is for me to know and for you to find out.

I liked this book for a few reasons. One reason is how it can be soft but then speeds back up into something else. Another thing I liked about this book was how fast it was. One thing I disliked bout this book, though, was the lack of explanation in this book.
