Diary of a Wimpy Kid

I picked the book Diary of a Wimpy Kid because it was a novel I was already reading at the time. One of the funny parts in this book is when Greg goes to the dentist. The dentist has to pull his tooth and Greg starts throwing a fit because he's too scared and thinks his teeth will be ruined. The dentist gives Greg sleeping gas to calm him down and he pulls the tooth.

Another part I liked was when Greg's dad surprises him with tickets to a baseball game. Greg's older brother Roderick was teasing Greg that dad was going to send him to military camp. On the way to the baseball game Greg thinks dad is taking him to military camp because he sees papers on the dashboard and thinks they are for the camp. He used his ladybug phone and called the cops to avoid going to military camp. When the cops arrive they find out that the papers are really for the baseball game. Instead of paying a fine for calling the cops for no good reason, dad gives the cops the baseball tickets.

I recommend this book because it is hilarious and it's about a teenage kid that has problems. I have a bossy older brother so I know how Greg feels.
