Shiver is a book about one girl who falls in love with a werewolf. It's another one of those typical
"girl-falls-for-a-creature-turning-human" kind of books, but this one gives a lighter feel than Twilight or any other book out there. I decided to give this book a chance after my seventh grade teacher told us about it. I didn't really give it a chance at first, but after I saw it in the library, I read and ended up loving it!

Shiver is told in two point of views: seventeen-year-old human Grace and eighteen year old werewolf-turned Sam. The two have known each other for years; Grace has always been in love with the woods during the winter and sees Sam as a werewolf while Sam sees her when he is a human during the summer. One day, she sees him in his human form on her backyard porch. After he spends the day with her, they find themselves falling for each other. As the story progresses, Grace finds out about Sam's pack and why she didn't turn into a werewolf, even though she was bitten. She also struggles to keep Sam warm during the winter, wanting him to keep him human since he has to stay warm to keep his human form.
One of the things I loved about this book is the format; the font was all in blue and it even showed the point of view and the temperature of each chapter. I also loved that you really knew how they were feeling and that you could actually feel the emotion of the characters. What I didn't like is that ending; to me, the ending was kind of rushed and that the climax, falling action, and resolution shouldn't go all in literally one page. Other than that, the book was an amazing read! I recommend it to anyone who likes the forbidden love or human/human-creature, Twilight-esque book. It was an awesome read!
