The Batboy

I read a book called The Batboy for my first book review. The author is Mike Lupica. Mike Lupica has written many sports books over the course of his career as a sports columnist. This book is about a kid named Michael Dudley who gets his dream job as batboy for the Detroit Tigers. I chose this book because i love to read about sports.

Brian Dudley wanted to be the Tigers manager and play for his summer league team, the sting. However, they interfered with eachother. So, he went to some of the team games and some of the tiger games.

In this book i liked how Hank Bishop hit his 500th home run and Brian hit the game winning home run in the finals. I didn't like that the chapters were very suspensful. I also didn't like that Hank Bishop was a jerk to Brian in the beginning.This book is appropriate for anybody who loves a great thriller book. I recommend this book to Jonnie Bower.
