Diary of a wimpy kid

Diary of a Wimpy Kid, by Jeff Kinney, is a boring book about a kid in middle school named Greg Heffley. It takes place mostly at school and his house. It is a journal and all that it talks about is how stupid and boring school is. I choose this book because I had no other book to read and my little brother said it was good.

The story follows Greg as he takes a year of school. All that he wanted was to never go to school because he thinks it's the worst idea ever. But that does not work out for him, so he talks about his adventures that have occurred over the year. It also talks about his best friend Rowley, he is with Greg almost the whole time. They talk about what happened each day starting at Tuesday.

One thing that i liked about the book was that the author tries to connect with the readers and talk about stuff that is very likely to happen in real life. Another thing that I like is that it's not all about Greg the author also talks about other people in his life. One thing i don't like is that the book is very very boring, i almost always wanted to put the book down cause it was not exciting at all. Another thing that i don't like is that the author says he is in middle school but I believe he is suppose to be in 5th grade. I think the age group would be from 4th grade up until 6th grade. I would not recommend it to any of MY friends. A boy would be most interested in the book over girls, animal lovers, and Twilight fans.
