Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist

One night. That's all it took. For Nick and Norah to fall in love.

Nick's night had started like any other. Except for the fact his girlfriend, Tris was now with some other guy. Other than the fact that she was coming his way. So, he grabs the nearest girl and asks her to be his girlfriend for five minutes. So Norah looks at him, and she kisses him. After that, Nick's band mates pay Norah to make the night fun for Nick. Nick and Norah go to a strip club, a restaurant and a park. They grow closer and closer as the night goes on.

Nick & Norah's Infinite Playlist was an ok book. It was particually my favorite, but it was fine. I'd have to rate it like 3 1/2 stars. I got it because I want to see the movie.

Diary of a Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules

I read Diary of a Wimpy Kid Rodrick Rules. The author of the book is Jeff Kinney. The book is about Greg in middle school having to deal with his Big Brother Rodrick, Little brother Manny, also his Mom. I chose this book because i read the first book in the series and i liked it so i decided to read another book.
In the book Greg's mom has him write in a journal that says Diary on it again. He also has to deal with mostly all the people in his family. He has to deal with his brother black mailing him about something he did over the summer that was really embarrassing. Greg gets grounded a lot for many things. Like when his mom decides to give him game board money in exchange for real money he gets a lot of extra mom bucks from his friends game board. soon she finds out and grounds him.
One thing i liked about the book was it was funny. Another thing i liked about the book is it is a easy read. One thing i didn't like was done reading it really fast. I think this book would be appropriate for ages 10 and up. I would recommend this book to a friend. I think boys would like this book.

Mockingjay

The book that I read was called Mockingjay; the author is Suzanne Collins. The reason that I chose this book was because I was already reading the series. This is the third and last book in the Hunger Games series. The setting takes place when Katniss is in the Quarter Quell and is rescued by the rebels from District 13. The people who rescue her take her back to District 13 and when they get back they tell her that they want her to be their “Mockingjay”, the symbol of the rebellion against the Capitol to keep the revolution in Panem going.
After being rescued from the Quarter Quell by the rebels, Katniss agrees to be the Capitols “Mockingjay”. Then, the rebels make a daring rescue and rescue Peeta and all of the other victors from the Quarter Quell. At a reunion in District 13 Katniss sees Peeta ,and she runs up to him and tries to hug him but he tries to kill her because has been brainwashed and poisoned with Tracker Jacker venom at the Capitol. The rebels take control of all of the Districts and then start targeting the Capitol itself. However an assault on the Capitol goes wrong and Katniss and her team disperse into the Capitol trying to find and kill President Snow. Soon, Katniss is by herself going to Snow’s mansion which is supposed to be open for Capitol children (they are actually intended to be human shields). After, bombs placed in supply packages are dropped to the children and the very shortly, go off. Lots of children are killed including someone very close and loved to Katniss. Later, Snow is tried and fond guilty but tells Katniss that the bombing was ordered by President Coin, not him. When Katniss is about to execute Snow, she realizes that what he said was true and kills Coin instead. Katniss finally returns home and later so does Peeta because he has recovered from his brainwashing.
Two things that I liked about this book is that it really is a good adventure and very well written. One thing that I didn't like about this book is that at times it could be slowly paced and boring but then very quickly gets good again. I would recommend this book to young readers who like a good adventure and have already read the first two books.

New Moon

New Moon is the sequel to Stephenie Meyer’s novel Twilight. This book is very good. I think you would get it better if you read the first book first. The book is about Bella's pain because Edward left her in the woods. I chose this book because my friend said it was good.
The book is mostly about Bella's pain, but that's not all. The book is told from Bella's point of view. The novel is not just about Bella's pain though. Victoria and Laurent return to get revenge on Edward but hes not there. So with Edward not there Bella and Jacob start hanging out and getting attached to each other. Bella soon realizes Jacob is a were wolf.
One thing i like about the book is it is very detailed in basically everything. Another thing i like is there is another book in the series after this one. One thing i didn't like was it was so long. Another thing i didn't like is its a pretty girlish book. I think this book is appropriate for people ages 12 and up. Girls would like this book. Not so much guys.

Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire

Harry Potter and The Goblet Of Fire by J.K. Rowling is a story of three kids Harry, Ron, and Hermione who go to a school called Hogwarts for witchcraft and wizardry. This is the fourth book of the series and the fourth year of Harry being a Hogwarts. This year there will be a competition that hasnt happened for hundreds of years.

Tjis year in Hogwarts there is a Triwizard Tournament and Hogwarts abd two rival magic schools of magic will be going head to head. In this competition you put your name in the goblet of fire if your 17 or older and when its the day to draw names if your name shoots out of it your picked, your competing. The Beauxbatons are one of the schools and Durmstrong is the other. The day everyone gathers for the choosing of the names Fleur Delcour from Beauxbatons is chosen, Viktor Krum from Durmstrang is chosen, and Cedric Digory from Hogwarts is chosen, but then another name shoots out of it, Harry Potter. Hes only 14 though and he didnt put his name in the goblet. This has never happened before in the Triwizard Tournament, 4 people and one isnt of age.

The more and more you read the more action and better the book gets, all 734 pages of it. Its filled with suspens and mystery, and its a really good book. Id recommend this to people who like the Harry Potter series, fantasy, and fiction books.

Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets

Harry Potter and The Chamber Of Secrets by J.K. Rowlingis a mythical story about a school named Hogwarts for Witchcraft and Wizardry. It tells a story about a boy named Ahrry Potter and his adventure through Hogwarts trying to uncover a secret. His friends Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger embark on this adventure with him.

Throughout this book these three kids find out about the past history of Hogwarts and try to find the "secret." As they go on in one part they all go in the woods and find a giant spider that tells them a little about the secret then ends up attacking them. Later on they all go down in this chamber and find a huge chess table with pieces bigger then them and fight with them while they actually play the game chess.

If you like fantasy and qaction id recommend this to you. This is a long book so you need time to read it and its a series. They also have movies but the books are different.

Night

Elie Wiesel's book Night is a true story of a journey Elie took during the rough time of the holocaust. In it he tells how he was crammed in a train on his way to a terrible place called Auschwitz. This is his story.

On his way to Auschwitz Elie recalled being cramped up inside a train with no food, no water, no nothing. Some of people ended up going crazy during this. One lady would always scream, "Fire, Fire!" and everyone would tell her to stop shes just seeing thjings she needs to calmn down, but turns out she wasnt hallucinating she was telling the truth. As soon as they got thereElie says fmilies were seperated and that was the last time you saw them for a wile, or THE last time. You were sperated men, women, boy, and girl and taken away to your corridors.

It was a terrible place Elie says. This book tells his ntrue story on how he survived Auschwitz. Id recommend this to someone who might like history, horror, and true stories. Its a great book of a true expierence.

7 Days At The Hot Corner

7 Days At The Hot Corner by Terry Trueman is a story about a kid named Scott Latimer who's obsessed with baseball. Him and his bestfriend Travis go to the batting cages one day for fun. Then a bad accident happens.

Scott and Travis are good friends, they have been bestfriends for a while. Since Scott is obsessed with baseball he decides to go to the batting cages with Travis one day and it all ends up bad. Travis was up to bat and he kept missing and missing and then he hit it a few times and got happy and pumped, but then he swung way to hard and he did a complete 360 and hits himself in the face with the bat. Blood is everywhere, so Scott being a friend asks if hes alright and checks to see if hes got and broken or missing teeth, with his hand, now his hands covered in Travis's blood. Later throughout the book Scott finds out Travis is gay. Travis never told him before and he tells hius parents too and hes kicked out of his own house. His parents didnt want him influencing his younger brother. So Scot remembers he had his blood all over his hands and freaks out now because hes gay and thinks hes got AIDS now and goes to get a test.

Its a really good book, I enjoyed it, it is a little weird at first but its good as you get farther. I would recommend this book to people who might like baseball or realistic fiction, action, or suspense.

The Batboy by Mike Lupica

The Batboy by Mike Lupica is a good book about a kid who loves baseball and earns the spot as batboy on the Detroit Tigers.

Brian Dudley loves baseball and is a batboy for his hometown major league team the Detroit Tigers. His father was a major league pitcher and loved basbeball so much that he left him and his mom. Brian's favorite baseball player Hank Bishop is on the baseball team too but brian realizes that he is not who he thinks he is and is dissapointed. But you will have to read what happens to hank brian and his mom at the end of the story.

What I like about the book is that it is full of excitment and that you always want to keep reading. What i did'nt like is that he is lucky enough to be able to use the batting facility for the Tigers. He also is very sad for a kid who gets to play with the Tigers. This book is more suited for boys from 5th and up and i would recommend it to a friend.

FAKE ID

in the book fake id by Walter sorrels. a girl once named Lynda sue Greer she gets a new name every time her and her mom move she hates these names she gets.her mom says its a jinx but she does not think so,she has six days to figure out who she really is. this book shares a live changing expediences. this book makes you not want to put it down and keeps you on the edge of your seat. i recommend this book for whoever likes mystery's and action

Crash

Crash by Jerry Spinelli is a great book. It's about a boy named John Coogan who's nickname is crash. Its about how his life is and how it changes when new people move down ther road, a kid named Penn Webb.
John or Crash, as everyone calls him even his parents, is a football jock, he loves football and is really good at it. Mike DeLuca is his good friend and he to plays football and is really good at it. Then theres Penn Webb, hes a weird kid to them and everyone. They're first impressiojn of him was that hes a freak and no one will like him. Penn gets second time around clothes, barely has any toys no has one toy and its a little wagon, and him and his mom and dad are vegetarians. In school John and Mike are always pulling pranks on everyone especially Penn now. In footballl though they're serious and committed. The first game of the season John scored six touchdowns, and when the season was over he broke the school record for number of touchdowns in a season.
It gets way better the mopre you read. Crash is one of my favorite books, I love the book. It isnt a boring book it makes you wanna keep reading and not put it down. If you like realistic fiction and sports read this book.

The Maze Runner by James Dashner

The Maze Runner by James Dashner is an amazing, adventorous, heart stopping book.it is about a boy named thomas who wakes up in a place he has never seen before. the place is called glade. they  get enought supplies to last week every week. every month a new kid comes. one day a mystirous girlcomes carring a note that says ''shes that last one ever''. later in the book a girl wakes up from her coma and finds out they can talk to each other with there minds. at times this book can be dull and slow but at it can fast and exiting.i would recondmend this book to any one who likes good books.

Bill Rodgers' Lifetime Running Plan

Bill Rodgers' Lifetime Running Plan was an amazing book! Written by himself, it explains in so much detail on how a runner sould be before and during a race.

The book has so many things to help in it! It has many different workouts, diets, clothing, and racing ideas. Bill Rodgers explains about how he runs, and how his stratigies work for him. He also talks about different running techniques that could help other people. He talked about strides, and laps.

I really liked how much detail this book gave! I loved it! It really helped me with running in general. My stride and times improved. I really liked everything about this book, and i wouldn't change anything about it. I would reccomend this to anyone who wants to run,and who is serious about it. :)

I AM NUMBER FOUR

the 440 page novel I AM NUMBER FOUR by Pittacus Lore is about john smith and his guardian Henri. these two people are the main characters in the book along with johns love in trust Sarah. i choose this book because i wanted to read the book before i Saw the movie.
there were nine of them all aliens from the plant lorien. three are dead john is next. during the story john develops powers that help him to save his life and also his first love sarah.
i liked this book because there was action, humor, romace, and its just fun to read.this book is good for age 12- 20 and it swears a lot. i would recommend this to a friend. this book is good for anyone.

5k and 10k Training

5k and 10k Training by Brian Clarke is a great book. It's not interesting, and it doesn't have a story. But, it's great to learn how to train for races. I chose that book because I think it will help me become a better runner, and help me in my races that i run.

The book has many different chapters in it. It has how to train, how to run, your strides, how your arms should be, what you should eat before a race, and more. I personally think it really helped me in my last 5k that I did. It also has different workouts you can try to get faster.

Two things I liked about the book is how it helps you, and how detailed it is on how your stride should be and how you should train. I didn't like how the book was set up, and how sometimes it was confusing. I also didn't like how it wasn't for just a mile, it was for way longer distences. I would reccomend this to anyone who is a runner, or who wants to be.

Catching Fire

The book that I read was called Catching Fire; the author is Suzanne Collins. The reason that I chose this book was because in class we read the first book in the series (The Hunger Games) and I loved it, so I figured that I would read the sequel to this great first book. This is the second book in the Hunger Games series. The setting for the events is: the characters Katniss Everdeen and Peeta Malark, District 12 tributes, have to visit each District on the Capitol’s victory tour. The tributes have to do this because against all odds, they won the Hunger Games.
In this book Katniss and Peeta return home to District 12. That day they must start thier “victory tour” to visit all of Panem. President Snow explains to the two tributes how much he didn’t like when they threatened to kill themselves at the end of the 74th Hunger Games so that they could both live. Snow says that on the victory tour, they must prove their love to each other. Snow also threatens to kill Katniss’s family and friends if she cannot prove to everyone that her love was out of the love for Peeta and not out of defiance of the Capitol. During the tour Peeta publicly proposes to Katniss, hoping to settle the disagreement between Katniss and Snow. When Peeta and Katniss come home to District 12, they learn that for the 75th Hunger Games 24 victors from all of the previous years will have to compete in the Quarter Quell. The Quarter Quell is an annual event that occurs every 25 years. Knowing that Peeta and Katniss will have to compete once again, Katniss devotes herself to protecting Peeta. Later during the Games, Peeta and Katniss join up with Finnick, a 24 year old, and Mags, an 80 year old mentor. Both are from District 4. After Mags dies, Katniss and everyone else join up with Johanna Mason, Beetee and Wiress. Then they construct a plan that has many different outcomes which are good and bad. This complex plot is full of excitement, adventure, and surprises. This keeps the reader going!
Two things that I liked about this book are that it is paced perfectly, and it has a great plot. In my opinion there are no negative parts in this book. This book is appropriate for all ages, and I would recommend this book to everyone because everyone would love it.

Glass

The book i choose to read was about a girl who struggled with drugs. This book is called "Glass".The authour is Ellen Hopkins.

This book also has 5 other books in its series. The other books are called "Crank,Impluse,Identical,Burned, and Tricks. This girl goes to her dads and starts to do drugs which she mainly started because of her father.Kristina(Bree) also gets pregnant when all this is happening.

I think this book was very good.I suggest this to people that have ever thought about doing drugs because this teaches you what may happen.

The Dead-Tossed Waves By, Carrie Ryan

I have read the dead tossed waves. This book was about a girl who crosses a barrier to the other side of an abandon side of town that no one was supose to go over. Her bestfriend convinces her to go over it,and now she wishes she never had all Gabry was looking for was happiness and it didnt turn out the way she had planned when the retyrn is never safe and the barrier cant hold back.

My opinion of this book was that it was interseting for someone who likes mysteries and there are two more books that go along with this book.

Closer

I read the book Closer by Roderick Gordon and Brian and Williams. The crew got back together and planned to stop the Styx once and for all. I chose this book because I am reading the series.

Will wanted to kill the Rebeca twins but they had to many guards protecting them so he couldn't. Chester wanted for this nightmare to end but it wouldn't be any time soon so he dealt with it. Drake still wanted to stop the Styx and with the help of Will, Chester, and Elliot he might have a chance.Elliot was finally healed of her illness so she begun to help again.

two things I liked about this book were the adventure and technology they use. There was nothing I disliked about this book.It is appropriate for ages 10 and up. Anyone who likes adventure will like this book.

Travel Team

I read the  book Travel Team written by Mike Lupica. The topic of this book is no matter how small you are never give up on doing what you like best. I choose this book because I like to read sports books and books written by this author.

In the book Danny Walker one of the best kids in the town of Middletown goes to try out for the Middletown  Vikings and ends up not making the team. So know Danny didn't know what he was going to do so one day his dad came over and herd the news and his dad being the most popular guy in Middletown because he ended up going to Syracuse University and went pro but then had a fatal car accident that ended his career wanted to came up with the idea to make another Middletown team. But the new team did not have that good of a team and Danny thought they were going to get blown out of the water every game. So Danny helps his team make it to the play-offs where a kid from the other team named Ty Ross switched from his dad's team over to Danny's team who would face Ty's old team in the play-offs.

Two things that I liked about the book were that even know you are the smallest person on the team doesn't mean that you can't be good at what you love, another thing is that when his dad got in another car accident he told Danny to be the coach and he told Danny to never give up. I didn't really think that there was anything wrong with the book. The age group that this is appropriate for is 10 and up.
I would recommend this book to a friend. I would recommend this book to a sports fan.
