I read the book Travel Team written by Mike Lupica. The topic of this book is no matter how small you are never give up on doing what you like best. I choose this book because I like to read sports books and books written by this author.
In the book Danny Walker one of the best kids in the town of Middletown goes to try out for the Middletown Vikings and ends up not making the team. So know Danny didn't know what he was going to do so one day his dad came over and herd the news and his dad being the most popular guy in Middletown because he ended up going to Syracuse University and went pro but then had a fatal car accident that ended his career wanted to came up with the idea to make another Middletown team. But the new team did not have that good of a team and Danny thought they were going to get blown out of the water every game. So Danny helps his team make it to the play-offs where a kid from the other team named Ty Ross switched from his dad's team over to Danny's team who would face Ty's old team in the play-offs.
Two things that I liked about the book were that even know you are the smallest person on the team doesn't mean that you can't be good at what you love, another thing is that when his dad got in another car accident he told Danny to be the coach and he told Danny to never give up. I didn't really think that there was anything wrong with the book. The age group that this is appropriate for is 10 and up.
I would recommend this book to a friend. I would recommend this book to a sports fan.
