Safe At Home
Nick Crandall was a seventh grader who is on the JV baseball team. Nick always wanted to move up to varsity but always knew that it would never happen. But one day the varsity coach came down to the JV practice and watched Nick as he showed off his baseball skills. So when Nick found out what the varsity coach wanted he found out that the varsity catcher was injured and he had to be pulled up to varsity and found out it's not all it's cut out to be.
Two things that I like about this book is that the point is that not everything is what you think it is, another thing is that he never gives up when he has trouble catching for varsity. Two things that I don't like about the book is that everybody on varsity would always pick on him for not being good enough when he was just starting, another is that once he starts to get good he has to go back down to JV. The age group that this is appropriate for 9 and up. I would recommend this book to my friends. The people who would like sports books.
