Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days

The title of the book I read was Diary of a Wimpy Kid Dog Days, the author was Jeff Kinney, the genre of my book was realistic fiction. I chose this book because a lot of my friends read this book and said it was really funny and that I might like it. They were right.

The book was all about this average teenage kid. He had dreams and fantasies about him marrying a really pretty girl, that was way older than him. He tried everything to get her attention. After he realized she wasnt going to acknowledge him he started to try to get other pretty girls to like him, that were actually his age. His only problem was that either his family would ruin his oppertunities, or his friend Rowley would bardge in and ruin his chances. His summer was a wild one, and I wish I could tell you what happens next but you'll have to read the book yourself.

I liked how it was about an ordinary teenage kid. I also like that the main characters problems were all funny. The only thing I didnt like about the book was that the main character was to full of himself. This book is appropriate for ages 9-13. The reader can be from any reading level, and the topic is comedy. I would recomend this book to many of my friends because they all like a good laugh. People who like comedies would like this story the most.
