The Son of Neptune

I read the book, "The son of Neptune", by Rick Riordan.  The genre of this book is a modern day fantasy intertwined with Greek and Roman mythology.  I chose this book because I have read all of the other books written by this author.

Percy Jackson, the main character, is from the Greek half-blood camp.  He had his memory erased by Hera/Juno and put in the Roman half-blood camp.  Gaea is awakening and with her her giants that were created to defeat the Gods.  Percy Jackson must face his memory loss and defeat the marching forces of monsters directed by the giant Polybotes.  Percy Jackson and his two friends, who are both half-bloods, must go on a quest to defeat the giant Alcyoneus and free the god of death.  Percy must travel to Alaska from the western United States to defeat the giant.  On the way there, they recruit the Amazon warriors.

Two things I likes about this book are that it has many fights and alot of action.  I also liked the way the book incorporates ancient Greek and Roman mythology.  The age level for this book would be middle school and up.  I would highly recommend this book.  It would be a great read for people who like action fantasy.
