The Underdogs

I read the book the underdogs that was written by Mike Lupica. I choose this book because it looked very interesting and I like to read books that are written by this author.

This book is about a 12 year old boy who is the fastest kid in Forbes named Will Tyler. Will wanted to have a football season this year but he knew that the chances of that would be slim so he thought of an ideal to try and write a letter to New Balance and see if they would be interested in sponsoring the Forbes football team and Will waited and waited until one day. So when Will read that letter he went and told everyone he knew but he knew that they would only have 10 kids who will play.

Two things that I liked about the  book were that Will never gave up trying to get players and getting that rematch against the Castle Rock football team, and another one is that Will always played his hardest and never gave up. In the book there was not two things that I didn't like. This book is appropriate for an age group of 10 and up. I would recommend this book to a sports fan.
