The Diary of Anne Frank.

The book I read was The Diary of a Young Girl. Anne Frank is the person who wrote it. I picked it because it sounded interesting an I liked the book Number the Stars. I liked the topic of the Nazi's occupying the town. When I started to read the book it was honestly a little slow. The begging is the most slow. But I understand why is is slow. This girl is writing in a journal.

Anne Frank really wanted to be free from this. She wanted the war to stop. She just wanted for life of the Jew's to be normal again. But she knew this wouldn't happen. The war has gone to far for it to stop now. So she went on with life talking it day by day. They moved to the " Secret Annex." Where they would try to live there lives. It was tough for them being in this space for two years trapped and not being able to get out.

I liked how truthful it was. I really like that this was an actual human being writing to me the reader. I also liked that how it was written. She used good words for the reader she is writing to. I didn't like how slow it was. That was really the only thing that i hated about this book. I really thought that it should be quicker. I would recommend this book to 12 year old and over. I don't think that i would recommend this to a friend. If they like the same stuff i do then they wont like this book. I would recommend this book to people who liked the book Number the Stars and to people who like the genre of non-fiction.
