Freedom Writers

Freedom Writers is an exceptional book written by the Freedom Writers them self. In the movie they tell you whats happening but in the book they go deeper into these children's lives. These kids went through a life-changing High school experience. It's all because of their English Teacher Mrs. Erin Gruewell.

The book never really gives names but you can tell what kind of person they are. These teenagers had it rough. They got involved in drugs and peer pressure, they lost friends or family to gang violence, and they robbed gas stations and corner stores. But even when they stereotyped her, Mrs. Gruewell was always there for them. No matter how much they resisted to try, she just kept pushing them to strive and to make a mark on this world. She taught them friendship and how to die winners. Those kids were a family and Erin was like their mom.

This probably one of the best books I've ever read and it reminds me how grateful i am for my surroundings. I absolutely loved it!
