The Lost Boy
The Lost Boy was written by David Pelzer. This is a shockingly true story. This is also the sequel to A Child Called It. I chose to read this book because I had read A Child Called It and had to finish Davids story, see if he got his fairytale ending that he deserved.
In this story David wanted to find love. After being abused by his mom while his dad stood by and watched. He still loved them. David is placed in many foster houses but as you may know a house is not always a home especially for David. He struggles to get attention and in turn makes some bad choices. So David goes from foster home to foster home in search of love...
I liked that this was a true story and that it allowed you to look at someones life that is 10 times worse for them then your life is for you and yet they are grateful. I did not like how David acted sometimes in this book. This book is appropriate for no one under at least the 7th grade.
