The book I read is called the Looking Glass Wars the author is Frank Beddor. The book is a re-telling of Alice in Wonderland. I chose this book because it was recommended to me.
The book is about Alyss Heart, heir to the Wonderland throne and how her muderous Aunt Redd forced her to leave Wonderland though The Pool of Tears and into Victorian London, alone and scared she befriends the aspiring author Lewis Carroll her surreal, violent, heartbreaking story only to have him publish it into a childrens book, Alice in Wonderland.I liked the book because of the action and mystery that surrond it. The thing i didnt like about is that it was kinda slow in the beginning. The age group for this book is middle school. I would recommend this to a friend if the like books like the Hunger Games for the action and violence and the little bit of romance.
