Ella Enchanted

The book i read was Ella Enchanted. This book is very interesting and sort-of teasing to the main character. I really like this book and it's one of my favorites. :)
The main character's name is Ella. She was born with a gift. Her fairy godmother, Lucinda, bestows it upon her. Her gift is obedience. From that moment on, poor little Ella was forced to do anything she was told to. It says in the book, on her fifth birthday, her cook, Mandy, was cutting the cake. Without thinking, Mandy had told Ella to eat. Ella ate, and ate. She was eating cake until she was full, and she still had to eat. In fact, she ate cake until she started crying, then she was told to stop eating. How long will Ella survive with the curse? When will she live without? Read this wonderful book to find out. :)
This book gets the deserved ten stars. I would recomend this book to anyone who is interested! :) I strongly suggest reading this book...then maybe seeing the movie. :)

The Fault in Our Stars

The book I read, The Fault in Our Stars, by John Green, is a very good book. It is a book that draws you in, and tries to fill you with suspence. This book is fiction, and is very detailed.
This great book involves a character named Hazel Grace Lancaster. She is a strong believer in things like death, because she is always talking about how, "Someday, none of us will be here. None of us." She also is involved (her parents force her to go, but as her parents progress, the let up a little bit.) in a program called the weekly support group. She also meets this charming, funny guy named Augustus Waters. She spends the rest of forever with him and they make this book what it is! Augustus goes through a lot for and with Hazel, but he doesn't mind. What adventures will they go on? What will he go through for her? You'll have to read the book to find out. :)
This book is a very great one! I wouldn't suggest reading this book if you are about 12 or under. This book contains some foul language, therefore, should not be read by younger kids. I would give this book a nine because it is very well worth it! You should give it a try! :)

A Tale Dark & Grimm is the book i was read it's was writen by Adam Gidwitz. This genre is is fiction. I chose this book because of my sister she gave a little bit about "A Tale Dark & Grimm". This book has one main story ,but the charpters build off of each other. This was first written by the Grimm brother.
This story is about Hansel, Gretel, and their parents. Their parents getting together and three crows that can tell the future. The king thought that Faithful Johannes (he is ungly) was betraying him, but was really saving him and his wife from death. Then hansel and Gretel (twins) came. Their wanted Johannes to come back from the dead. (he was statured) So he cut off their heads like Johannes said to, and smeared it on the statured of Johannes and he and the twins came back to life. Hansel and Gretel thought that their father hated them and so they left the kingdom of grimm. They met a women who likes eating childern and has a house made out of candy. She shoved hansel into the oven to get cook, but she out smarted her. She deid in the oven. A father with seven sons just wanted a daughter and wished his sons in to swallows. Hanel and gretel found them and made them their new mom and dad. Gretel only wanted her new mom to be happy , then her mom was talking to to gretel dad and said that her sons are now swallows. Gretel and hansal travel to a mountain to the seven swallows were. Gretel lost the key. (The key was shaped like a finger) So she took a sharp piece of ice and cut off her middle fingure and put it in the key hole. The seven swallow turn back in to boys. Hansel and gretel found a tree that could talk and told them not to desturb anything here in the would. Hansel did a couple times and turn in to a wolf tapy thing. Someone shoted him and took him home. Gretel was sad and went to this small town when she found this widow. She stead there for mounths. The whole town went to harvest. She never play with the kid, she would instead sit and listen to stories with these adults. Gretel love to listen to one adult. He would fix toys with a magical twin. One night he said to greyel"come to my house i will leave a trail of ash.". She wanted to go, but didn't. He said the same thing to gretel the next. She went home with the widow and said" i'm go to that pretty man's house.", gave her a bag with sparkles that would light up in the night. Gretel starts spreading the sparkles along the way like she was told. She gets to his house and his mother told her that he will take your soul and she escape. The rich fellow who told hansel home got him out of his beast skin. By cutting it off of him. The rich man gamble with devil, and bets hansel. The man loses, And now hansel has t go to the underworld. He escapes with the devil three hairs. Then hansel and gretel meet up later in the same kingdom which they left.
I like how where one chapter lefts off the next chapter picks up and how the author told the real stories of hansel and gretel. I didn't like some of there words adam used and the descripted in some parts of the book. I would recommend it to people who want to know the real story of hansel and gretel.

New Moon

The book I read was New Moon by Stephanie Meyer, the second to the Twilight Saga. New Moon is about a quiet girl who moved from Arizona to the freezing Forks, Washington and ends up falling in love with a vampire and then her best friend (only friend) is really a werewolf and her vampire boyfriend dumps her and so she runs around with werewolves now and then the vampire wants to kill himself so the girl goes to save him and then her friend hates her. I read this book in 6th grade because I was obsessed with Twilight.

In New Moon, Bella Swan gets dumped by her vampire boyfriend, Edward Cullen, and he runs away to Italy. Then she's like crazy depressed for like ever and then she starts hanging out with her long lost childhood friend Jacob Black. Jacob is her only friend and only thing that gives her happiness while Edward is away then Jacob ends up being a werewolf. Edward and Jacob end up being sworn enemies, too. So then Edward's sister Alice comes back to tell Bella that Edward wants to kill himself because Alice can see the future. So Bella has to go to Italy to save her vampire and Jacob ends up hating her.

Two things I liked about this book is that it was interesting and it kept you wanting more. Two things I didn't like this book is that every character is stupid and the overall book was pretty terrible. This book is appropriate for about 13 and up. I would reccomend this book to nobody and stupid people would enjoy it.

Twilight

The book I read was Twilight by Stephanie Meyer. Twilight is about a quiet girl who moves to a new town and ends up falling in love with a vampire. Twilight can be described as a Sci-fi/Romance. I read this book in about 5th or 6th grade because the movie came out and I was madly in love with it for some reason.

In the book, Bella Swan moves from living her whoole life in Arizona to moving in with her father in the freezing Forks, Washington. There she meets a mysterious boy named Edward Cullen, finds out he is a modern version and falls in love with him. Later on, other vampires come along and want to kill Bella with her being human and what not so it's a huge race away from Forks and ttrying to survive while Edward was almost killed by the vampires that wanted Bella.

Two things I liked about Twilight was that it was interesting and it kept you wanting more. Two things I didn't like was that it was so stupid and really cliche. I'd say this book is appropriate for 12 and up. The only swear words are damn and hell. I wouldn't reccomend this book to a friend, it's terrible. Stupid people would like this book.

The Boy In Striped Pajamas

The Boy In Striped Pajamas by John Boyne is a touching novel. In this book, a young boy, a German, makes a friend, a Jew. Bruno, the young German boy, has no clue what this camp is but he helps his friend.
Bruno lives right in front of his fathers concentration camp and doesn't have a clue what it is but when his father hits people, yells, and disrespects others, Bruno has a fear of what has become of him.
I recommend this book to people who are interested in the holocaust. I loved this book mainly because the holocaust interests me. Read this book! IT'S GOOD!

Mockingjay

The book I read was Mockingjay, by Suzanne Collins. I chose this book because i read the book before called Catching Fire. The book is science fiction because it never really happened and it takes place in the future. The book picks up after the book before it Catching Fire. Katniss gets captured in a good way by the rebels of district 13 an underground city. The rebels are trying to take over the capitol. Katniss has to try and overcome many challenges to achieve her goal to take the capitol over. The capitol fights back in a deathful battle. The one thing I liked about this book is there was no boring point and i could not put it down. The book ended very well which I liked. I was not able to predict any events which was a good thing. I would recommend this book to anyone who read the Hunger Games. You need to read the whole series to get the full affect.

True crime: unsolved crimes

This book is about a few murdurs, and one of wich are the Zodiac. He has been discribed looking slightly different by different people who say they've seen him. The sick b******* even threatened to kill children. The next killer talked about is responsable for the death of a man on trial for shooting a man in the throat, leaving him just barely alive. The trial was delayed multiple times, and the townspeople got sick and tired of waiting for a man to be put in prison for a few years. The man was eventually cornered and killed before the trial could take place.

Hole in a Helmet

The book i read was Hole in a Helment. The book is about
an army that is on their way out of germany to retreat from the war. The germans
used artilery and shot down the planes that the army was in. When the plane came
down, the army was seperated from each other. One man named Mike was droped
behind enemy lines. Mike fell right next to a house in the grass. He then traveled a little bit around the house. There was two
Nazis by the house. In order to get by them Mike has to kill them to get passed
them. He used his pistiol to kill them. He droped his bag outside becuase it was
so heavy. He went inside the house and he heard one shot every minute. He went
up the stairs and he saw a dark room. When a plane came down and light up the
room. When the room light up he saw a sniper in the room. He went in the room he
shot the sniper in the head.

UNWIND

because this ccomputer had to glitch and erase EVERYTHING, and I shouldn't have to rewrite it, I'm... not... retyping this.

Red Riding Hood

This version of Red Riding Hood by Sarah Blakley Cartwright wasn't what I expected. It was great but different.

Every month the people of a small village would give sacrifices to big bad wolf in exchange that the wolf won't harm anyone. But the wolf breaks his promise killing Valerie's beloved sister Lucie, causing Valarie's world to spin. But the death of her sister isn't the only thing messing with her head. Valarie is arranged to marry the blacksmith wealthy son Henry. Valarie doesn't want to go through with it because her hearts with Peter who has been gone for 10 years.

Then The wolf threatens her to run away with him or everyone she loves will be killed. Until she makes a shocking discovery about Peter that may change her mind. Valarie has two men and a wolf fighting for her heart and she can't stand to see another person dead after her sisters death. This book started off a little slow but it grew more suspenseful throughout the story.

Antarctica Escape from Disaster

The book I choose was Antarctica Escape from Disaster, by Peter Lerangis. This book is a part of an Historical Fiction, and Adventure series. I chose this book because when i started reading it the first couple pages really intrigued me.
This book was about a secret American expedition to dicover the South Pole. Jack Winslow, the expedition leader, his 17 year old son Colin, and his 16 year old stepson Andrew. Once they got to Antarctica their ship, the Mystery, was trapped in ice, and then eventually sank from a hole from an iceberg. The crew went through the ultomate test of loyalty, endurance, and survival. Once the men got to the sea they set off in 4 teams in 4 lifeboats hoping to find a friend of Jack's who is suppossed to be on a voyage to Antarctica around that time. The harsh conditions damaged all the boats which split up the teams into two groups of two. All teams were forced to set ashore due to damage. Then in desperate hope of finding a ship Jack, his son Colin, and another crew ember named Philip Westfall, the nephew of the expedition's sponsor. They find a whaling ship of a shelfish captain named Captain Coffin. Once he finally agrees to search for the rest of Jack's team Jack and Andrew start looking right away. If you want to find out more you'll have to read the book yourself.
The two things I liked were it had a lot of action in it and that it actually happened. The only thing I disliked about the book was it had a lot of words about ships that I didn't really know or understand. The age group appropriate for this book is 8th-10th graders. The people who would like this book are people who like expeditions and disaster. I would recommend this to friend as well.

Willow

The book I read Willow by Julia Hoban was an interesting but very intense novel. The story open my eyes for those who suffer emotionally and mentally.

Willow Randall is convinced that she murdered her parents in a car accident seven months before. She lives daily with the guilt and pain. She goes to school, work, and then back to her brothers place. Her brother David is the strong silent type who occasionally weeps when no one is looking. Willow catches him one night and takes her cutting to a whole nother level. Cut after cut after cut willow cant stop. Until she meets a guy named Guy.

Guy has feelings for Willow and the feeling is some what neutral. When Guy finds out about Willow's secret he does everything in his power to help her and show her that there are other ways to release pain. This is a romance story but it's not like prince charming sweeping the girl off her feet.... It's more like casual guy helping a troubled girl off the ground.

This book was great I liked it a lot. It taught me whats going through the mind of an Emo girl.

If i stay

The book i read was If i stay by Gayle Forman it was such a good book ! this book is about a 17 year old girl named Mia who gets into a car accident and her life is changed forever.

this book was so good it was about a 17 year old girl named Mia who lived with her family in Oregon. One day on an icey road on their way home the last thing she recalls is riding along a snow wet road and then with in a second her life was changed Mia was in a car accident and all she could see or imagine was her blank body laying in a hospital bed .

i loved this book sooo much i never wanted to stop reading it! i think you would have to be at a mature age to be able to read this book because it can be really sad at times , but i would definitely recommend this book to people i know !

Impulse

The book i read was Impulse by Ellen Hopkins i choose this book because i read a few other books by Ellen Hopkins and they were all very good ! so i decided to keep going with the series and the topic of this book is about three teenagers who all end up in a mental hospital .

three teenagers in this book all tell their stories about there hard and horrifying everyday challenges they face. But all three of them end up in a mental hospital and they are getting help but none of them really want to be there .

i liked how the pages are written in the book and how you just dont want to stop reading it . And i think the age appropriate group is 14 or older because there are some hard words to understand and the book is kind of hard to understand all together. And i would recommend this to a friend that likes these kind of books .

Mockingjay

The book I read was Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. The genre of this book is science fiction because the events take place in the future and never really happened. The book continues after the events that happened in Catching Fire. After Katniss is rescued by the rebels of District 13 she is conviced she has to become "the mockingjay" to help the rebels take over the Capitol. Katniss is faced with many challenges along the way as the Captiol tries to stop the rebels from controlling Panem. One thing I liked about this book is that the events in the book went along so smoothly that it was hard to put the book down. Another thing I liked about the book is it ended The Hunger Games Trilogy very nicely and didn't keep you asking questions. The age group I recommend this to is 7th grade and up because it was a fairly easy read. I would also recommend this to a friend, or anyone who has read the previous book Catching Fire.

Mockingjay .. Inna :)

I read the book Mockingjay by Suzanne Collins. Mockingjay is a fiction book set in the future where Katniss Everdeen is trying to rebel against the capitol. This book is part of the Hunger Games trilogy, and since I LOVED the 2 other books I just had to read Mockingjay!
Katniss Everdeen had survided the Hunger Games and the Quarter Quell, yet the capital is trying to do everything possible to get rid of her. When District 12 got evacuated to District 13, they discovered District 13 is a huge underground world! Katniss agreed to be the "Mockingjay" and risked her life for the sake of rescuing Peeta and others from the hands of the Capitol and trying to overthrow the Capitol. Peeta was tortured, brainwashed, and now thinks Katniss is his enemy. When a team of rebels including Katniss, Gale, and Peeta set out to the Capitol to kill President Snow, many of them die and are injured. The team goes through losing their friends, being attacked, and even having to be disguised as Capitol residents. In the end, Katniss must chose Peeta or Gale. Who will it be?
Two things I liked about this book is the fact that the events that occur really do seen realistic and I love the action that goes on throughout the whole book! The only thing I didnt like about this book is that towards the end many events went by too fast, so I was left kind of lost and blank. As in "What just happened?" I think Mockingjay, and the two other books in the trilogy, are for all ages and reading levels! I recommend this book if you liked the Hunger Games and Catching Fire!

Switched

I read the book called Switched. The author of this is Amanda Hocking. There are two other books in this series. They are called Torn and Ascend. I chose this book because it looked like a good book and sounded intresting.

Wendy is just a teenage girl trying to fit in at get along with people at her new school. Until one day a boy named Finn came into her life and changed everything. Wendy thought she had feeling for him and then she found out the thruth about him. Wendy had been taken to a house were she didnt know where she was or who anyone was. Then she found out some news about her mom that might have chnaged her life forever. Wendy was scared and knew she didn't fit in where she was,but could do nothing about it.

I liked that this book was suspensful through out the whole  book and something intresting was always happening. I would recommend this to my friends and people that like suspenful kind of books. People that would like to read this book would be people who like suspense and action.

travel team

the name of the book is travel team by mike lupica. this book is about a boy who is good at basketball but gets cuts from his team. i chose this book because i read other books by mike lupica.
danny is a 12year old boy but is very short for his age. he knows how to play basketball and he can always throw the perfect pass, danny gets cut from his team because he is too short even though he is beater than most of the people on the team. his dad who use to play basketball and brought his travel team (when he was young) to win the states and then he went to the nba. he starts a new team with danny and all the others who got cut from the team.
i liked how it was about sports and how the book is set up. the book was perfict <3 this book is for sports people. it is for 12 and up.

Legend

I read a great book called Legend. Legend was written by Marie Lu. Legend is a suspenseful and mysterious book. I chose to read Legend because it is highly recommended for Hunger Games fans.

Fifteen year old June was born into a wealthy family in the Republic. With the only publicly know perfect score on her "test", she is training to be in one of the highest military circles. Fifteen year ole Day who was born into the slums is the most wanted criminal in the country, but for being the most wanted criminal he might not be as evil as they seem. From two seemingly different worlds June and Day have no reason to ever cross paths until Junes brother, Metias, is killed and Day is the prime suspect. While Day fights for his family's survival, June seeks revenge for her brothers death. But in a startling turn of events, they find out what really brought them together, and the malicious lengths the Republic will go to keep its secrets.

I love that this book is a Distopian book, allowing alot more possibilities. I dislike how this book is a little predictable. This book is appropriate for ages 12+. If you liked the Hunger Games you will love this book.

When Zachary Beaver Came to Town

I just finished a book calls When Zachary Beaver Came to Town, written by Kimberly Willis Holt. This book is an easy read.I chose this book because that was the first thing i picked up and checked out.
This book is about the fattest boy named Zachary Beaver and his two new friends Toby and Cal.Zachary goes to Toby's and Cal's town with his guardian because his parents died. His guardian leaves to find another act to make more money he tells Zachary he will be back. While Cal and Toby were looking at "the fattest boy" Cal saw a golden box and wanted to know what it was.Cal finally fines out it is a bible Zachary's mother gave him because he was going to get baptized but she died.So Cal,Toby,Cal's sister and a couple other people from there town go into a lake and baptize Zachary no priest or nothing but it was still official! That was probably the best summer for Zachary because Toby and Cal were probably him first friend.
I didn't really like this book or dislike anything about this book. The age group is probably 9 to 12.I would recommend this to a younger friend.People who like to read long easy books would probably like this book

After The Moment

Recently I finished a book called After The Moment by Garret Freyman-Weyr.  This book was great and I could not put it down.

This book was mainly about a boy named Leigh and a girl named Maia.  Maia has a secret, she is anorexic and she is a self mutilator.  She cuts herself because her father is jail and she only sees him once a week at the most.  Maia becomes friends with Leigh’s sister Millie.  Leigh instantly finds an attraction to her.  Maia then shares all of her secrets with her.  Leigh then feels more attracted to her so, he breaks up with his previous girlfriend Astra.  Maia and Leigh start to date.

In the middle of the book Maia goes to a party with a few boys and she gets drunk.  She then as sex with a boy named Oliver who has his friend tape the whole thing.  She tells Leigh and Leigh is furious.  He gets a layer for Maia but he then gets in a fight with Oliver and he puts him in a coma.  Oliver’s family agrees not to press charges if Maia does not press charges against Oliver for the video.  She signs the contract and she goes home.  She leaves to go to a private school so she can have a fresh start.

In the very end the setting is 6 years later and Maia and Leigh meet up by an accident.  They say that they’re love for each other never died but they cannot be together.  They exchange numbers and emails and they say goodbye.  That is where the book ended.

Three things I liked about this book was that it was very real and not biased.  Also that it was touching.  Last the thing that I liked about this book was that it was hard to put down.  I only disliked one thing about this was that the end was kind of hard to understand.  I think the reading level for this book would be ten and up.  I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books about anorexia.
My books name is The Last Holiday Concert!! Author: Andrew Clements. Genre of my book is realistic. I chose this book because, It looked like a good Christmas book.

A brief summary of The Last Holiday Concert is a boy by the name of Hart Evans. He wanted to save the last concert of elementary school. Hart wanted it to be something big/epic. He didn't want it to be ordinary, like other school. Evans wasn't giving up until he got what he wanted. He got to make a great Concert even though, it was his last. After the concert. They had a awesome Christmas Party!!

Two things i liked about the book, it was well detailed & how you dont have to be older to make your dreams/goals to come true. One things i didn't like about the book, it wasnt long enough. Age i would recommend this book to 8- 12. Yes i would recommend this book to a friend. People that would like this book is graphic novels.

And Then There Were None

The book I read was And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie. The book's genre is mystery because ten people are invited to this island in the middle of nowhere and slowly one by one are being killed off. The thing is noone knows who is killing them. I chose this book because a friend had read it and told me about it and made me really want to read it.
In the book ten people are invited as weekend guests to a private island on the coast of Devon. The host however is nowhere to be found and the guests are left puzzeled. All the guests have a rhyme in their room, which they come to know is not just a rhyme as their fellow guests are one by one being killed following the ryhme. The thing is they dont know who the killer is even though they all have their suspitions.
One thing I liked about the book is that it keeps you wanting to read more and find out what happens next. Another thing I liked about the book is that it's a mystery the whole time until the very end. There is nothing that I didn't like about the book. The age group that is appropriate for this book is anyone 8th grade and up in my opinion because it is a harder reading level. I would recommend this a friend just because I loved it so much. I also think people who like mysteries would really enjoy this book.

You Dont Even Know Me
by sharon g. flake
this book is about kids in the ghetto kind of just had a bad life and write poems and stories about their life and how they struggled and how life was for them and there is tons of different kids and stories about them in this book and there siblings and parents and all the kids in this book have littler brothers or sisters and they sneek out while there paents go to work and the go either to be with friends or cousins or to meet a girl and they all get caught and this one kid went out and got drumk and lied about being with a girl but he really was and it wasnt his first girl and he found out he has aids and he only told his aunt and uncl cuz he was so scared about telling his parents cuz he knew they would disown him.and most of the kids get adopted but when they did they became better and were never terrible and they loved there knew parents well they were usaully single parents.
i liked this book i thought it was interesting reading about the other real life stories about kids in the ghetto or have bad lives it makes me feel more braceful i would recomend this book to people who like to listen to other peoples stories and all about them this is a great book but to some people may not like it and if ur a troubled kid u have to read this book it will help you alot and u wont be so lost in what to do.so read this book its very good i enjoyed it so i recomend it to alot of people because i know alot of people hide alot of their problems like i do.
The book I read was Rules, By
Cynthia Lord.
This book is about a girl named
Catherine and her brother with autism. I chose this book because I didn’t have
any other choice. Catherine just wants a normal brother that knows how to
behave and act normal but he can’t because he has autism. So Catherine tries to
teach him rules and how to behave. One thing I liked about this book was that
it was funny and it kept me interested. Some parts were boring though and were
slow. Another thing I liked about this book is that it made me think about
stuff I have never thought about. One thing I didn't like about this book was when
Catherine always would yell at her brother because he is not normal, and it’s
not his fault that he has autism he didn’t choose to be like that.
I think this age group is appropriate for sixth
grade and up. I would recommend this book to anyone. I think this book is more
for girls though. It is a good book to read.

Alice's Adventures In Wonderland By Lewis Carroll

I read Lewis Carroll's book Alice's Adventures In Wonderland because I was baby sitting and the kids wanted me to read it so i read them part of it. Once I started reading it I wanted to finish so I finished it when I had gotten home.

Alice's Adventures In Wonderland is about, a summer day Alice was sitting on the riverbank with her older sister. Alice’s sister was reading a book and Alice noticed that the book didn’t have any pictures, which made Alice lose interest in it. Then as she looked out into the meadow, she saw something very peculiar. She saw a large white rabbit running past her looking at his watch saying “Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be too late.” Then he popped down a rabbit hole. Alice, being the curious girl she was, followed the rabbit down that hole and found herself in a land with many wonders. She met some interesting creatures including the King and Queen of Hearts, the Hatter, and the March Hare. She found that many creatures in this land didn’t have the best of tempers and didn’t want to try to help Alice figure out where to go and what to do. Alice also found herself changing sizes after eating or drinking things she found. One minute she was a few inches tall and the next she was nine feet tall. When Alice was in this land she expected the unexpected and didn’t think much of the unusual occurrences. She used her knowledge to help other people, such as when she made sense of evidence during a trial. As much as Alice thought it interesting being with these strange creatures and trying to get along with them, she wondered when she would return home to her normal life or if she would. She remembered her cat and dreamed of seeing him again. But was there a way to get out or was it all just a dream?

I would recomend this book to anyone who babysits the same kids a lot, or for a long period of time and read it to them. The kids loved the book and I liked it also. It was a nice read.

Millon Dollar Throw

For Nate Brodie, there’s nothing else quite like the sport of football. The 13-year-old from Valley, Massachusetts is a huge fan of the New England Patriots, his favorite player being star quarterback Tom Brady. Brodie is the starting QB for the Valley Patriots, and is known as “the boy with the golden arm” for his fantastic throws and great sportsmanship. But football is more than just a game for Nate; it’s a chance to get away from the daily grind of school and hang out with his friends.

If I had to rate this book from 1 to 10 and 10 being the best, I would give it a 9. This is a very good book, if you like football this is the book to read. I like everything about this book, there is nothing boring about it.

The Hunger Games

For my sixth book i chose The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. This book's genre was fiction. I chose this book because a lot of people have said it was interesting and i took their word.
This book took place in a country named Panem(future North America) that is divided into 12 districts. One year the districts tried to rebel against the capitol and they failed. One district, District 13, was demolished that is why it doesn't exist anymore. The districts are punished by something called the Hunger games. One district has to give up two tributes to the games. A boy and a girl. Once to the arena the tributes have to kill each other to the death. The main character, Katniss, has a sister that was at first chosen at "Reaping Day". Reaping Day is when the capitol choses the tributes from a bucket of names( the tributes have to be between 12 and 18 years of age). Katniss volunteered so her sister did not have to go. The boy from District 12, Peeta, and Katniss did not have a great "friendship." Once in the arena Katniss gets as much distance between herself and the rest of the tributes. She does some brutal killings but you'll have to find out what they are yourself. Towards the end of the book two tributes(from the same district) are allowed to win. She then meets up with peeta and they survive to the last day. Then the gamemakers release a surprise and make it dangerous to fight the only other living tribute. I can't tell how they win.
I liked the whole book. But my favorite things about the book is that it is very discrptive, and that its a quick read. I didn't have anything i didn't like about the book. I would say this book is age apropriate for our age, topic wise people who like suspense will realy like his book. I would also reommend this book to a friend.

The Firm

This book, The Firm, was written by John Grisham. This book is a legal drama. I chose this book because I have read some other books by John Grisham that I have really liked.

In this book Mitch McDeere, a top law school graduate, chooses to sign on with the law firm Bendini, Lambert, & Locke. He would soon learn that that was his biggest mistake. After passing the bar exam Mitch is confronted by an FBI agent, Wayne Terrance. Terrance tells Mitch that Bendini, Lambert, & Locke's biggest client is Joey Morolto. Morolto is one of the biggest organized crime bosses. Terrance also says that they are planning on taking down "the firm" and will need Mitch's help. As the book progresses, Mitch and Abby, Mitch's wife, learn that nothing is personal and they may just have to help the FBI. By helping the FBI though they run the risk of losing their life. They must find a way where they can keep their lives and stop the Bendini law firm.

One thing I liked about this book was the decisions Mitch and Abby had to face. I liked this because if they made a wrong move it could cost them their lives. Also I liked how they had to find a way to try and save their lives without being caught by the FBI or the Morolto's. I would recommend this book to people ages 12 and older who like adventure and lawyers.

Hate List

I read Hate List by Jennifer Brown. This book is about a list that Valerie made with her boyfriend, Nick, of all the people they hated and how Nick took it way too far. I choose this book because it looked and sounded a good book.
After Nick and Valerie made the "Hate List," Nick took a gun to school and shot all the kids on the list. When Valerie tried to stop him, he shot her in the thigh and then pointed the gun on himself. Valerie never meant for this to happen, in fact she had no idea Nick was planning this, but still everybody blames her. She is the one still alive, she is not the one who killed herself.
Two things I liked about this book were that it was interesting and I really liked it ended. Two things I did not like about this book was that I cried through most of it because it was so sad and it took awhile for it to really go anywhere. I think this book is appropriate for teenagers. I would not recommend this book to anybody just because it was such a sad book.

Awake at Dawn

I read the book Awake at Dawn by C.C. Hunter. This book is the second book in the series, Shadow Falls. These books are about a girl named Kylie Galen who finds out she is a supernatural, but can not figure out exactly what she is. I choose this book because I really liked the book before it.
Kylie Galen wanted to figure out what she was. She wanted the weird looks she got from the other campers to stop, to be able to actually fit in at Shadow Falls, a summer camp for young supernaturals. The only problem was she had absolutely no idea how or where to start. Her real father is dead, she does not have any contact with her grandparents, and her mom is not much of a help either. Now Kylie has to deal with this problem on top of all her other problems, her step dad cheating on her mom, her best friend being diagnosed with cancer, her roommates who constantly argue, boy problems, and so on.
Two things I liked about this book were that I never wanted to put this book down and just how real a lot of the scenarios were, besides the whole being a supernatural thing. There was not anything I really did not like about this book. I think this book is appropriate for teenagers and mainly for girls. I would recommend this book to anybody who liked the Twilight books.

Beyonders A World Without Heroes

Beyonder A World Without Heroes is the first book out of the three book series by Brandon Mull. The other two books that are coming out are Beyonder Seeds of Rebellion coming out in spring 2012 and the thread is coming out in spring 2013. Brandon Mull has also have a series fableheavens.
Beyonder is a bout a boy named Jason Walker how is 13 how loves zoology and works in a zoo. One day he goes to the hippos tanks and hears music. He leands over falls and lands in the hippo's mouth and appeared in a Forest. He went to this library by accident and he reads the book with living skin on it and he find the first salable that could over throw the evil emperor. He meat a man called the blind king and he introduced him to Rachael and together they go no a quest to find the syllables and find a way home.
Thing i liked about this book is that there is a lot of action with a hint of magic. The one thing i did not like is the ending of the book and that the the Holley lib. doesn't have the next one. i would recommend this book to people how like magic and advenchers

Shiver

the book I chose to read was "Shiver" by Maggie Stiefvater. It's a fiction/romance and I enjoyed reading it. I would recommend this book to anyone who liked the Twilight series.

Grace was attacked by the wolves in her woods when she was six years old. The one thing she remembers is the yellow eyed wolf that didn't bite her and looked her straight in the eyes. Ever since every winer Grace watches her wolf and her wolf watches her from the woods.
Sam is a boy that changes into a wolf every winter. The rest of the wolf pack does too but after a certain amount of years they stop and stay in wolf form. Sam was the yellow eyed wolf that was there when Grace was bitten and ever since he has loved her. He knows she loves him, too. But she does not know he is also human.

One thing I did not like about Shiver was how hard the book was to get into. It was a slow start but eventually I could not put the book down. One thing I did like were the ups and downs and twists the book had held! Everything was a surprise! If I had to rate the book it would be an eight.

A Child Called It

I read a book called "A Child Called It" by Dave Pelzer. This book's genre is autobiography. I chose this book because a friend recommended it to me.
All David, the main character, wanted was love. All David got was abuse. His life was hopeless and really sad starting from young age. His mom, Catherine Roevera, always stood in the way. She totally ruined his life forever! David's brothers, Ron, Dave, Stan, Richard (Rusell), and Kevin, also made him hate his life! David's mom abused David. She was an alcoholic and had a mental disorder. She hated David and did everything possible to make his life the worse it can ever be! David was tortured by starvation, beatings, extreme mental cruelty, and almost murder. The school payed no attention to any of this because David's mom proved to them that David was a lyer and made everything up. They came to a point where they believed her. Until it was proven that she was the one that was lying to them all this time. The school then changed this whole situation and helped David get to his father. His father and his mother were divorsed.
Two things that I liked about this book is that it is a true story and not made up. I also like that the book is very touching. I didnt like that the book was so full of child abuse! :( The age group that is apprpriete for is 10+. The reading level it is recomended for it 4/10. I would recommend it to a friend. The kind of people that would like this book is anyone that likes to read.

Cindy Ella

Recently I read a book called Geek Charming by Robin Palmer.  This book was great and girly. J

This book was mainly about a girl named Cindy Ella Gold who hates the prom.  She can never get over how her sisters fuss over it and she hates it.  She wants to go just not with some guy.  She wants to go with Adam Silver.  He is the most popular guy in school and she doesn’t think that she can get him because she is an outcast.  She is also in love with a guy from Brooklyn.  But there is one problem with that because he first of all is in Brooklyn and second Cindy only knows him from online.

She goes through many problems in the story.  She has Adam come into the yoga shop where she works and she is hiding.  He finds her because she sneezes from the dust.  He looks down and he sees her.  They talk for a minute then he leaves.  That night she has a tutoring session with an extremely cute guy who is in college. She falls for him.  They become closer and close.  She is out with her friend Malcom one night (who is gay) and he meets Noah (the tutor).  He tells her that he is gay but she doesn’t believe her so she decides to ask him out.  It turns out he is gay.  But he still is her friend.  She then gets asked on the night of prom by Brooklyn boy as she calls him.  Noah comes over and helps her get ready.  She gets ready and then she got an I.M.  She answered it and low and behold Brooklyn Boy is none other than….. Adam Silver.  She goes to the carnival with him, they kiss, and they start dating.  That is where the book ended.

Three things that I liked about this book were it was about love and that it was dramatic.  Also how this book was not biased about sexuality. I only disliked one thing which was I hated Cindy’s mother.  The reading level for this book would have to be 12+.  I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books about girly problems. J

Shimmer

Recently I read a book called Shimmer by Alyson Noel.  This book was great and I thought that it was the best book she had ever written.

This book was the second book in her Riley Boom series.  This book was mainly about Riley who comes face to face with her worst fear or her worst memories.  She meets a girl named Rebecca who is the girl who makes these realities come true.  She gets taken back to kindergarten which as she says it is her punishment.  She always got picked on in kindergarten.  Somehow she gets out of that alternate reality and her spirit guide Bodi comes.  Rebecca was disguised as the girl he likes when he was still on earth.

Bodi died of bone cancer a short time after his crush died.  She was popular but she also got picked on as well.  One night when Bodi was contemplating if he should go over to her house (which he was going to, the next day) but it was way too late.  She had committed suicide.  His condition got worse because of his disease and because of his crushes death.  He then died.

He sees the fake girl and he immediately runs into her but he gets taken back into that time when she did die.  They went through all of their worst times.  In the very end Riley finally got Rebecca to cross over and that is where the book ended.

Three things I liked about this book was that it was very hard to put it down and that it was short and a quick read.  The last thing that I liked about this book was it was relatable.  There was nothing I did not like about this book.  I think the reading level for this book would be 9+.  I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a dramatic book.

So B. It

I read a book called So B. It,written by Sarah Weeks. Its a really good book!I chose this book because it look good and the title was kind of different so i read it.

I liked that it was mysterious but not scary!I didn't like that the ending was kind of sad!:( The age group is 11 and up.People who would like this would be people that like mystery's that aren't scary

The book that i read is Fame school by Cindy Jefferies. This book is nonfickshion.I chose this book because i had it for a long time and havent read it yet.
This book is about a girl named Chloe .Chloe loves singing .Her and her best friend Jess dreams of becoming a pop singer .She spends hours singing in her room .But when she gets to audition for Rockley Parks a school for rising stars she is so exetied but when her beast friend Jess does not make it in will there friend ship last .
Two things i liked about the book is that i could hapen to eney wone and i love singing so i liked it a lot .the age groop is 10 and older. This is a book for a girl who likes singing .

The Death Cure

'The Death Cure" written by James Dashner is the third book in Maze Runner series. I read this because I was completely consumed in the books and could not get enough of it. It was the third book in the Maze Runner series and I was so excited to start!
Of course all of the characters stay the same through out the series. WICKED the organization running the trials trying to find the cure for the Flare, or the disease that is killing the human race. Thomas and the other Gladers no longer trust anyone but themselves because of all the lies being told and how badly WICKED has messed with their brains. But is there one person from WICKED Thomas can trust...?
I loved EVERYTHING about this book! I couldnt of asked for a better sequal and i wish i could keep reading about the life of the Immune Gladers. I strongly recommend this book to anyone who likes a thrilling adventure!

The Scorch Trials

The book I read was "The Scorch Trials" by James Dasnher and I chose to read this because it was the second book in the Maze Runner series. I would recommend this to anyone who reads the Maze Runner and likes a mystery.

The Gladers escape the Maze and are put under another series of tests and they slowly learn more and more about why they are doing this. On their way to "the cure" Thomas is split off of his group and with a girl they met, Brenda. She tells him about why she's there but how much of it is the truth..?
Jorge is the leader of the cranks that the government has put in the abandon city. Jorge promises to to not kill Minho if they take him and Brenda to get the cure.
Teresa has changed now, not only is she with the group of girls from the second maze, but she is focused on killing Thomas. This is all startling for Thomas because days before they had shared a kiss.

One thing I liked about "The Scorch Trials", is how hard the boys worked, how they didnt give up on each other even though some of them were killed. One thing I did not like was how confusing everything was. One moment Teresa was inlove with Thomas, and the next moment kissing another boy and shoving Thomas in a gas chamber!

Hot Hand

I read the book Hot Hand written by Mike Lupica is about a boy named Billy Raynor who has went through a lot in his life. I choose this book because I like books that are written by this author.

The boy named Billy Raynor loves to play basketball and is one, if not the best shooter on his basketball team. Billy wanted to have a perfect life and family until one day his parents just decided that it wasn't working out so they got  a divorce. But Billy seemed  that he was not effected by the divorce but everyone new inside that he was. So Billy tried to stay focused on basketball and his team finishes the season undefeated.

I liked a lot of things about the book and there wasn't anything that I didn't like. This is good for a wide variety     of age groups. I would recommend this book to a friend. This book would be good for sports fans.

Dramacon

Recently I read a book called Dramacon.  This book was an anime and  loved it.
This book was mainly about a girl and her boyfriend going to an anime convention because they are aspiring anime artists.  Her boyfriend is flirting with all the girls to get them to but they’re anime… so he says.  She gets jealous and she meets a new guy while she is walking around the convention.  He is very mysterious and she has never felt such an attraction to a person like this.  She has to leave and goes back to her boyfriend.  He is very mad that she just let and that he saw her flirting with another guy.  They go home and they fight some more.  The next day she breaks up with him.  She then runs into the guy she was in love with.  They go out for some coffee.  Then she goes home and her and her boyfriend get back together.  That is where the book ended.
Three things I liked about this book were it was a quick read and it was funny.  Its also had great pictures.  Three things I did not like were it was too short and that it was not very well written.  Last that it only has a few books to the series.  This book would be for ages 9+.  I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books about drama.

Keeping You A Secret by Julie Anne Peters

I read the book Keeping You A Secret By Julie Anne Peters. I picked this book because it looked like a good book, that was a quick read.

Holland is a Senior with her boyfriend Seth and getting ready to go to collage, does swimming. But one morning in the hall at their locker she saw this girl Cece, that she noticed was a lesbian. She was friendly and attractive. Holland now cant stop thinking about Cece, and thoughts about Seth. She breaks up with Seth and forgets about her collage applacations and is more worried about getting to know Cece and haveing a relationship, but she wants to keep it a secret. Holland figures out her self in this book.

I liked this book because it shows you that you can be who you want even if that means having to hide it, but do what makes you happy. I would recomend this book to people who dont have a problem with lesbians, or gays. But if they do it might change the way they look at them and see that there are nothing wrong with them.
The book Geek Charming is written by, Robin Palmer. This book is about a girl Dylan who is very popluar who meets a geek Josh.I chose this book because its also a movie. So I could relate to the movie.
Dylan Schoenfield is the princess at L.A's posh Castle Heights High. She has the most popular boyfriend in the school. Also she has popular friends. But one day she was at the mall with some of her friends and her new bag. She was agruing with a girl and her bag flew off her hand into a fountain. Thats when she came o face with Josh Roshen. Josh saves the bag. Josh had asked Dylan to star in his flim High School Popularity. She said yes and became really good friends with Josh.
Two things I liked about the book is the part were her bag falls in the fountain at the mall. Another is when Dylan decides to hangout with Josh.Twelve and older would be apporpriate to read this. I would recomamand it. people who like chick flicks would like this.

The Maze Runner

The book I choose to read was "The Maze Runner" by James Dashner. It was recommended to me by many teachers and students who have read it. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes books on apocolyptic "what ifs" that could happen.

Thomas is sent up to "The Glade" and quickly learns where he has been sent but not why. When you arrive in The Maze you have no memory of your previous life, not even your age. But you do know your name. But the Gladers, as the boys call themselves, know something is different about Thomas because he is the last boy to be sent up from "the box".
Teresa is the only girl to ever be sent into the Glade. She is in a coma for two days and knows more than everyone thinks. She also knows more about why they are there and who sent them...
Minho is the leader of the Maze Runners. The Maze Runners are the boys who leave the Glade and run around the Maze trying to find where it stops but they never find an escape. He soon trains Thomas to run with him and they find a certain code...

Two things I liked that about this book is how intricate the story is ligned up and followed through. Sometimes you think you almost have it figured out and then something else keeps you questioning. One thing i did not like about this book is how hard it was to get into. The beginning was very slow!

Awkward

I read the book Awkward. This book was written by Marnie Bates. This books genre is realistic fiction. The reason I chose this book is because when i read the back of it, I was instantly hooked. All I wanted to do was read it.

The main character in this book is Mackenzie Wellesley. She is a really good student. She takes many advanced classes. But one day she knocks over a football player and freaks out. Someone video taped it and put it on You-Tube. Then she became famous. Throughout all of this she is trying to stay the same girl shes always been. Will she stay that same girl or will she wined up having to change herself.

The thing I liked about this book was that the girl was like me. She is super smart. I also liked that there was a little guy trouble in the book. Also something I can relate to. There was nothing I disliked about this book. I would say that you would have to be at least 10 before you read this book. I would recommend this to my friends. All of my friends. I would say that chick flick people would love this book. I would not recommend it to guys though. It is definitely a girl book. I loves this book and I hope you do too.

Dear John

I read a book called Dear John. It was written by Nicholas Sparks. I chose to read this book because I've heard it was a good book and I've read other books by Nicholas Sparks and they've been good too. "Dear John" is mainly about two people...true love...and a heartbreaking ending...

John Tyree is a man in the army. He is on leave for a few weeks and is staying with his dad. He has never really been close to his dad, ever since they stopped talking about coins (his dad's collection and pretty much the only thing he talks about). One night John is at the beach when he sees Savannah Lynn Curtis. She is with some of her friends when her bag falls in the ocean. They tell her to leave it but she is about to jump in the water when John finds himself running toward the ocean and jumping in to get it for her. She thanks him and when their eyes meet he knows that there is an instant connection between them. The others go on and she stays with him. She invites him to go with her to the house she is staying at with all of the her friends she is staying with for the summer. As they spend more and more time together they begin to fall in love. By the end of John's leave him and Savannah are madly in love and she promises to marry him when he gets back in a year. Well 9/11 come and he ends up re-enlisting in the army for another two years. He is still in love with her and wants to marry her when he gets out of the army. He is having a hard time because his dad has just died and he receives a letter from Savannah starting with "Dear John," and ending with "I'm so sorry"...and with that a heart is broken and both of their lives are changed.

I enjoyed reading this book. Two things I like about it were how it always had you wanting to keep reading and how it never got boring and you were always wondering what would happen next. I didn't dislike anything about this book. I would recommend "Dear John" to my friends and anyone who likes to read about love stories. It was an overall good read and I'm happy I chose it.

I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You

I read the book I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have To Kill You. This book was written by Ally Carter. This book is a realistic fiction. I chose this book because I am into the books that are realistic fiction. I like the books that could happen. The books that i might be able to relate to.

Cammie is a spy. She studies at Gallagher Academy. She takes classes that teach her how to be a killer. She has two best friends. Bex and Liz. But when a new rich girl moves in her life changes there. When all the girls go on a special mission Cammie meets a NORMAL guy. Now all she does is fantasize about him. But she cant tell him she is a trained killer from Gallagher Academy. So she lies to him. Will he wined up finding out the truth?

I like this book because it is realistic. I also like it because it involves guy problems which I can relate to. There was nothing I didn't like about this book. I give it a perfect ten! I would definitely recommend it to all my friends that are girls. It is more of a chick flick. It was made for girls not for guys. I love it and i hope others will read it to.

Kill Shot

I recently read Kill Shot by Vince Flynn. The genre of this book is a murder, mystery, and thriller. I choose this book because I needed a book to read, so I looked on the New York Times bestseller list and found this book.

Mitch Rapp is a trained CIA assassin that has been making his way through a list of targets. he is on his next mission in Paris when something goes wrong. Rapp is ambushed and the next morning the police find nine bodies at the hotel where Rapps target was staying. No one in the CIA wants anything to do with the international crisis. Rapp is a liability and Stan Hurley will do whatever it takes to make sure Rapp is not captured by the French. What will wappen to Mitch Rapp?

I liked a lot of things about this book. One thing is the discription that the author uses. I also liked that the book was filled with non stop action. The book was just like a movie. what I didnt like is that there were to many storylines to follow. It could get a little confusing. I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes action and violence.

Candor

I read a book called "Candor" by Pam Bachorz. The genre of the book is fiction. I chose this book because the book cover looked interesting and the librarian recommended it to me.
Oscar, the main character, is a son of the owner of a city called Candor. In Candor everything has to be perfect. The houses there are huge and expensive. Every single citizen of the city gets only A+ grades. There is only one reason for that. The reason why everyone is perfect, there are no crimes, and a beautiful city is that every person living in the city is controlled by Messages. Well, almost every single person...Oscar is supposed to be like the most perfect one because he is the son of the creator of this city. Turns out, it's the opposite. Oscar pretends he is all good but he really struggle to disguise who and how he reall is. He struggles and goes all the way against his father. He tries to overpower Messages. According to the laws, every single person who tries to do that is put in the Listening Room and is brainwashed. Oscar has a plan of saving people for large amounts of money. His plan works. He gets clients and helps them overfight the Messgaes and have their own way of life and later run off. His plan is going great until a new girl comes into the neighborhood and he falls for her instantly. His life was going great. He had a girlfriend but as soon as she moves in, that changes and his purpose of life and all the future events of it.
Two things that I liked about the book is that it is a really cute love story and that it is realistic. The age group it is responsible for is 12+. The reading level it is recommended for is 6/10. I would recommend it to a friend. I think that anykind of person would like this book if they like reading! In my opinion, it is my favorite book now!:)

Born at Midnight

I read Born at Midnight by C.C. Hunter. This book is about a girl who is sent to a summer camp after (or so she believes) she is at a party where drugs are found. I choose this book because my grandma bought me the second book in the series so I obviously had to read this book before I could read the other one.
Kylie Galen's parents are divorced, her Nana is dead, her best friend Sara is no longer the person she thought she knew, and she just recently got dumped by her boyfriend Trey. Kylie wanted to fit in and go back to how everything was before, but that just was not going to happen with everything that has been going on. So when her mom sends her to Shadow Falls Summer Camp Kylie finds out something about herself that she would have never imagined was true.
Two things I liked about this book was the suspense throughout the entire book and all the unexpected turns this book took. Their really was not anything about this book that I did not like. I would recommend this book to anybody who likes the Twilight series.

Only the Good Spy Young

I read Only the Good Spy Young by Ally Carter. This book is about a girl who goes to a spy school. I choose this book because i have read the other books in the series and I wanted to see what happened next.
Cammie Morgan wanted to pretend she was just a normal girl, but the reality is she is anything but. She goes to Gallagher academy which is a spy school for young girls. Cammie is being chased by the terrorist organization that killed her father and now is out for her. She does not know why they killed her father or why they are after her, so now she must figure out how to save herself and everyone around her.
Two things I liked about this book were the suspense at the end of the book and how determined Cammie's friends were to protect her. Two things I did not like about this book was that it was cheesy at times and kind of confusing. I do not think I would recommend this book to a friend or anybody because it wasn't all that great of a book.

Soul Surfer

I finished a great book called "Soul Surfer" by Bethany Hamilton. The genre of this book is nonfiction. I chose this book because it was recommended to me by a friend.
In the book, Bethany Hamilton has a goal to train for the competition and have a fun time with friends. Bethany is a surfer. She has a dream of becoming a professional surfer and strives for that. Sadly, her dreams collapse when she gets attacked by a shark on October 31, 2003. Even though the dream collapses on her, she doesn't! She stays strong through it and fights her way out of every problem and situation. She has a lot of obstacles along every turn and chance she takes but her faith keeps her going on in life. Having only one arm doesn't ruin her life! It only tells her that its time to make everyday worth another and to do something in life.
Two things that I liked about the book is that it was a real event. Another thing that i like about that book is that it is religious. The age group it is appropriate for is 10+. The reading level it is acceptable for it 4/10. I would recommend it to a friend. A person that would like this book is a sports fan.
