Listen

I read the novel Listen. It was about a girl recovering from an accident who finds a wild dog in the woods. It is written by Stephanie S. Tolan. I chose this book because it sounded good.

The book is about about a girl, Charlean, whose mother is dead and so she lives with her father who  makes her walk all the time. She later finds a mysterious wild dog in the woods and names him Coyote. Charley wants to tame him but he is a wild dog so she has to work hard.

There are two things I like about the book.  The first is I like books with animals so I like Coyote. Another is I like how Charlean doesn't give up training Coyote. There are two things I don't like.  One is I don't like that her mother is dead. Another is I don't like that her father is mean.  I would recommend this book to a friend. People who are 12 and up will like this book. People who like animals will like this book.

Tuesdays with Morrie

The book I read is called Tuesdays with Morrie. It was written by Mitch Albom. It is about a young man (Mitch), who goes to his old professors house every Tuesday to learn life lessons. I chose this book because I read another book, Five People You Meet in Heaven, That was also written by Mitch Albom. Also, Mrs. Henry recommended it to me.

This is a true story about Mitch, the author, when he was younger. He had this professor in college, Morrie, who he loved a lot. They were very close. When graduation came they promised to always keep in touch. However, like most people they lost connection and went on their own ways. Mitch wanted to get back in touch with his professor and learn some more life lessons, but now as an adult. However, he found out that his old professor was just recently diagnosed with ALS, or Lou Gehrig's diesease. This diesease only allows a person so long before they die. So, Mitch went to his old professors house after many years and they got close again. Mitch went to see his old professor every Tuesday. Every Tuesday they would sit and talk. Morrie would teach him about life and how to live a good cherrised life. Also, every Tuesday Morrie would start to get worse. However, all those Tuesdays that Mitch spent with Morrie taught him something. I believe it changed the person he was to the person he actually wanted to be! =)

This book was an okay book. I think that it is for more older people. I liked how the book really showed the connection between Morrie and Mitch. Also, I liked how it actually talked about and went in depth of some of the lessons Morrie taught. I didn't like though that it was all about grownups, and that it mainly only taught lessons. It didn't have any action in it really. Also, I didn't like how in the book when someone is talking, it doesn't use quotation marks. The author I guess just expects you to know when someone is talking or when they aren't. It was kind of hard to read that way. This book I would say is deffinetly not one that I would recommend to my friends. I would recommend it to older people though. Maybe even seniors in high school. It is just too grown up for kids my age. Also, girls would probably appreciate this book more than guys, but they should still read it too. It teaches some good lessons!

Twilight

The book I read was Twilight. This book is written by Stephenie Meyer. This book is about Bella and Edward and how there relationship is going strong but along the way they find an adventure that will change there lives and everyone and everything around them.
This book is about Bella and Edward and how her friend Jacob is trying to break them up because he is in love with her. At the same time if Bella was to go with Jacob she could not see Edward anymore because of the whole vampire and werewolf thing. On the other hand Edward and Bella meet some evil vampires that are trying to kill Bella. So Edward, in trying to protect Bella makes up a plan that Bella doesn't follow. Bella gets herself in a world of trouble that could possible kill her and everyone else she loves.
What I like about this book is that it was a very easy read. One thing I didn't like about this book is that it was a very long with very long chapters I would recommend this book to anyone. I think the people who would like this book the best, is younger people .

Shark Girl

I read the book Shark Girl by Kelly Bingham. This is a story of a girl and her struggles after a shark attack that almost took her life. I chose this book because I read it off someones post and it sounded good !

15- year old Jane Arrowood was attacked by a shark in June after going for a swim and lost her right arm. She was in the hospital for a long time, and was going depressed and basically hated herself. She thought that even though everyone was trying to help her out, like her friends and family, nobody really knew what she was going through and she wished they would all just leave her alone. No one understood her, besides Justin, a boy she met in the hospital. He was also disabled, and they became best friends and helped each other through a lot. In the end, Jane realizes that you can't turn your life upside down because of something major that happens. You need to make the best of it.

Honestly, I thought this book sucked. There was no story to it, other than a girl who wouldn't stop being depressed all the time because she lost an arm. Everything was totally predictable. Within the first two pages, she gets attacked by the shark, and all of the rest is just her whining about it. I mean, I would be upset if I lost an arm too, but I wouldn't let it ruin my life. Some people could like this book, however I thought it was pretty boring. But, that's just my opinion. It was an easy read though, so I got it done with pretty fast. I would recommend this to anyone who just wants to get a book done and over with. But if you want a really good book that can't be put down, I would keep looking. . .

Accomplice by Eireann Corrigan

Chloe is my best friend. I'm her best friend. So when she asked me to help her disappear, what could i say?

Chloe Caffery and her best friend Finley Jacobs live boring lives. They wake up together, early enough to clean the horses, and then they go to school together. But soon after Finn helps Chloe fake her own kidnapping, best friends don't always know each other as well as they think.

Accomplice was pretty swell. Me gusta el libro. I just said the book pleases me. In spanish. 5 stars.

Harry Potter by JK Rowling

Imagine living your life, then finding out when you're eleven that you've been living a lie. That's how Harry Potter feels.

Harry Potter is eleven years old, and he lives with his Aunt and Uncle, and his annoying cousin, Dudley.

Harry is kept in this little cellar thingy, where he is barely fed. His parents died when he was a baby, and he has this weird scar. Harry is the average nobody until he discovers he is different from everybody else. He can make things dissappear and levitate. Harry is finally sent to this Hogwarts School *Well actually Hagrid takes him*. He meets Ronald Weasly, PROFESSOR DUMBLEDORE, and Hermione Granger. Once he arrives at the school, he's an automatic celebrity. When his parents died, this dangerous wizard named Voldemort, attempted to kill Harry but he survived. Harry and his friends go on perilous journeys to reach the end to only find out their teachers really are evil.

Harry Potter was a good book. The book was a quick and easy read. I liked it. Easily 4 and a 3rd of a star.

Naomi & Ely's No Kiss List

Naomi's in love Ely. Ely loves Naomi. But he prefers to be in love with guys.

Naomi and Ely have been best friends since they were kids, before Ely announced to the world that he was gay. But that didn't stop Naomi from falling in love with him. But Naomi still goes out with guys, preferably named Bruce. She has 2 ex boyfriends named Bruce the First (Who's still in love with her), and Bruce the Second, who cheated on her with Ely. And while all this is happening, there's this new doorman named Gabriel, who's fascinated with Naomi. The Naomi and Ely get in this big fight over Bruce the 2nd. They make up.

This book was pretty weird. You're totally confused like you're on acid, and then they're all back together, and Naomi lets Ely borrow her clothes. This book deserved 1 and a half stars.

Bad Girls Don't Die by Katie Alender

Bad Girls Don't Die is a paranormal story about this misfit who's sister is possessed by Satan. Just kidding, her sister's possessed by a doll.

Alexis's family has problems. Like, her mother is never around, her father creeps her out and her sister collects dolls. Her sister, Kasey lies more, and is using creepy old-fashioned phrases. Yeah, talk about problems. Alexis isn't popular either, and her enemy, Meghan wants to be her friend. Alexis's non-existing life takes a downward spiral after she finds out the history behind her house....

This book was really good. It's writing wasn't fabulous, but I survived. I'd rate it 4/5.

Fablehaven rise of the evening star

The novel I read is called fablehaven rise of the evening star written by Brandon Mull. This book is about these two kids who finish there school year and stuff starts happening to them before they get sent to their grandparents for the whole summer and get more than what they thought the summer would be. I choose this book because i saw it and it looked good.

This book is about to siblings Seth and Kendra who finish there school year and are about to be sent to their grandparents for the summer. Before they finsh school a new kid shows up and if you read the first book you know that Kendra has a new gift which she can see that the new kid is not human. After returning to their granparents all this weird stuff is happening and seth gets in quite the problem. Also they meet three new people Vanessa Santoro, Tanu Dufu, and Coulter Dixon. Finnaly kendra finds out that she has a special gift that helps her a lot.

Two things I liked about this book is that is very detailed and and thrilling. Two things i did not like about the book is that it is quite long and it is different than the first book. People ages 11 through 13 would like this. I would recommend this to a friend of how thrilling it is. People who like magic would like this book.

The Child Called It by David Pelzer

A Child Called It by David Pelzer is a dramatic, compelling, gruesome book about the struggles of a young boy named David and his long journey against child abuse.

David's mother hadn't always hated him. Once upon a time she was happy, and she cared about him. But now, he is nothing but a flaw to her existence. She beats him, poisons him, trys to drown him and attempts to kill his self- esteem. After years of it, his father leaves and his mother finally gets caught.

This book was an amazing story. I really loved it. I chose it because almost everbody has read it. I'd rate it 5 stars. There's a sequel called The Lost Boy. This is a true story.

Percy Jackson and The Lightning Theif

The novel I read is called percy jackson and the lightning theif written by Rick Riordan. This book is about a boy whose life is turning weird, first all this strange stuff is happening to him but all this strange stuff helps him to find out about himself. I choose this book because it sounded good and i like stories about gods.

In this story a young boy named percy jackson finds out that he is different then most people. Percy all throughout the story goes on a perilous journey just to prove his innocence. Through the story he meets new friends including Annabeth and Grover, and new enemies like madusa and a hydra dragon. This book takes you all over the world just to prove he is innocent and to free someone. In this story percy is blammed over something important but he might have done it or not.

Two things i liked about this book are that it is adventerous and is thrilling. Two things i didn't like about this book is that it is.... now that i think about it there wasnt really nothing wrong with the book. This book is appropriate for people of the ages 11 and up. I would recommend this to a friend because it is so good. A person who likes adventure would like this book.

Peace, Love and Baby Ducks by Lauren Myracle

Peace, Love and Baby Ducks is a kinda interesting story about siblinghood rivalry, and growing up. It's mainly about two sisters who are constantly compared by family and friends.

Carly is the older, conservative, less-hot sister, who's social life hangs by a thread. Anna is the younger sister, who is now a freshman, and is the sister everybody likes. Carly goes to this summer camp thing and comes back all muscular, and Anna is taller, tanner and has better boobs. Carly is automatically jealous, considering her sister is stealing this guy away from her.

This book was pretty good. I don't want to say great because it wasn't. It's an easy read, that is lighthearted. I'd rate it 3/5.

TTYL By Lauren Myracle

TTYL is a story of three girls who are starting 10th grade with hopes of surviving and staying best friends. Told in IMing conversations, Zoe(zoegirl) an extreme nerd with a huge secret, Maddie (madmaddie) a headstrong person who gets caught up in popularity, and Angela (snowangel) who's too nice to see the bad side of people.

The story starts out at the end of Summer, with Maddie, Zoe and Angela all set out for 10th grade. Zoe starts finding her 'religious' side with her teacher, Mr.H. Maddie's nemesis, Jana starts paying attention to her, only to ruin her life. Angela falls head over heels for a guy who is a total anus.

I chose TTYL because it was at my house for some reason, and I didn't have my phone or my Kindle, so i read it. TTYL wasn't my favorite book but, it was an okay read. I'd rate it 2 and a half stars.

This book is named solider boys. By Dean Hughes . First book of a series.

This is all about soldier boys. First its about 2 kids Spence and dieter. They both wan to go to war to make a name for them self. Dieter a German Hitlers youth wants to be promoted to a member of the German army and will do anything to prove that he can do it.Spence says he wants to go to war to fight for his country but most people think its just to impress a girl named LuAnn.Its a great book with a sad ending.

These are two things i like about this book. First, i like how it takes place in WWII and its my favorite war. Also i was shocked about the sad ending. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good story and WWII

The Maze Runner by James Dashner is a book about a lot of kids trying to escape a deadly maze that stretches for miles. It was a book where you never knew what was going to happen/

This book is about kids who are trying to escape a maze. Each month a new person comes into the maze. Everyone is in this one spot were the monsters can't come at night because of the moving walls. You will have to read to find out what happens next.

I liked this book because it was thrilling. One thing that I dont like about the book is that it takes a lot of time to go into the maze. Another thing that I like is that the book is very detailed and you can see what's happening. I recommend this book to everyone who likes adventure books.

Lunch Money

The book is named Lunch money. Written by Andrew Clements. It is not in a series.

The book is about a boy who inspires to make money. He is all about money. Spending it. Earning it anything. It talks about him starting his own business in school selling toys. He almost got in trouble because the kid were using them the wrong way and hitting teachers with the bouncy balls. He also will do anything to earn money because it is very important to him.

These are two things i like and who i recommend this book to. First i like the humor. Second i like the concept of his ambition. I recommend this book to anyone who likes money.

Mockingjay

Mockingjay, the last book in the phanomianl series know as the Hunger Games, is written by Suzanne Collins. I read this book because I have read the first two books in the trilogy. This is better than Catching Fire but not as good as the Hunger Games.

This book starts out in District 13 with Katniss working around the different districts trying to get them to rebel, while also trying to come up with a plan to rescue Peeta from Presidebt Snow. Finnick is partically delisional after being rsecued from the Quarter Quell. BeeTee is working in the weapons and defense part of the district and Prim is working with her mom in the hospital. Haymitch is of course in 13 direscting Katniss on what to do in each district.Katniss also has a body guard named Boggs who has to follow her everywhere. She is also working closely with Gale. District 8 gets bombed because Katniss was there meeting the injured and trying to spread the rebellion. Peeta gets rescued but is brainwashed into thinking Katniss abondended him and the rest of Panem. I don't want to ruin anything else, that's why this eveiw is so short. Read it for yourself because it is so awesome that I cried at the end knowing that it was all over and because the end is sad.

I loved this book! The only thing I didn't like is all of the people who die in the end. It's upsetting.

Read this book, umkay!

Uglies

The Uglies is an amazing book written by Scott Westerfeld. I read this book because I heard that it was a good read. This book takes place in the future, just to let you know.

In the future society, there are Uglies(who look like us) and there are people who are Pretty. Tally Youngblood is a few weeks away from her 16th birthday on which she will get an operation to turn pretty. Peris, Tally's friend, has already turned pretty and she is gets so bored so she sneaks out of her dorm to New Pretty Town to visit Peris, which can get you into a lot of trouble. Peris tells her to go home and he'll see her after she's turned, so on her way back she meets Shay, a girl who is just like Tally. The day before they both turn,Shay tells her to run away to the Smoke with her, which is a rebel town that is hidden from the pretties. Tally refuses and says goodbye to her friend. When she goes to get her operation, she is called to meet the head of the Specials where she is told that she will never turn pretty unless she finds her friend. They also know that Shay left her a riddle on how to get to the Smoke. At first she says no but eventually decides to go. The head special gives her a locket that she is supposed to press when she gets to the Smoke. She has a crazy ride there where she almost falls of a rollercoaster, falls down a cliff and almost gets burnt ot death. When she arrives at the Smoke, she falls in love with the misterious David, who Shay likes, and finds out a scary thing about the operation from his parents. If you want to find out how it ends, read it for yourself.

This book is probably one of my favorites ever! I liked everything about it. There are no complaints from me. This book is AMAZING and perfect for anyone over 12. P.S. Mrs. Henry this counts as 2 books so now I have a total of nine read.

New Moon

I read the book New Moon by Stephanie Meyer for my 6th independent reading book. New Moon is the second book in the Twilight series.

When Edward Cullen realizes he isnt right for Bella because he thinks he will hurt her since he is a vampire, he leaves the town for a long time. Bella and everyone else didnt think it was right that he left and Bella couldnt stand the fact that he left so she turns to Jacob Black for support. She didnt know he had feelings for her though. Everytime Bella did something crazy and dangerous, Edward would appear in her thoughts and he would say to stop. but she kept doing it so she could see and hear him. when she gets the crazy idea to ride a dirtbike and gets hurt, Edwards sister, Alice, who can see the future, seen that she was dead but she really wasnt. so she told Edward and he went to Italy to the Volturi to show them that he is a vampire and so they will kill him if she was dead. but when he gets there and see's Bella there, they get into some trouble with the volturi.

I thought this book was better than the first book and i recommend this book to others girls 12 and older.

New Moon

I read New Moon By Stephenie Meyer. This book is the sequel to Twilight. This book is about the pain and suffering Bella goes through.

Bella's birthday comes around and something tragic to Edward happens. Edward leaves Bella, Bella sits around for months and months on end being depressed over loosing Edward. She has no contact with him or anyone else in his family. With Bella's loss her and Jacob become really close...she feels like the only time nothings wrong is when shes with Jacob. Until the end when something crazy happens... Bella's shocked and doesn't believe whats happening is real.

This book is very detailed and interesting although it wasn't my favorite book out of the whole series. This book like i said before seems more for girls but i guess that just depends on what type of books you like :)

Twilight

I read Twilight by Stephenie Meyer. This book is about a young girl named Bella Swan who Moves to Forks to live with her father.

Bella moved to Forks, Washington with her father because her mother had gotten remarried and her mother wanted to travel with her husband who is a baseball player. Bella goes to school in Forks and meets Edward who hasn't ever seemed to be interested in anyone in the school until Bella came along.

I liked the way this book was written and how everything was explained in detail. I didn't like the ending of the book. This book seems like it would be more for girls but i know of alot of guys who have read it too.

Twilight

I read the book twilight by stephanie meyer for my fifth independent reading book. Twilight is about a teenage girl who meets a vampire and falls in love with him.

Its about a girl named Bella Swan who moved to forks, washington with her dad because her mom got married. When she moves to forks, she goes to school and meets alot of new people. She meets a strange guy named Edward Cullen but he never seems interested in talking to her or anybody else. but one day in science they started talking and they kept talking and hanging out ever since then, and they began to fall in love with eachother. but then she finds out his deepest secret... He's a vampire..

I kind of liked this book beacuse it was about love and vampires but it started to get annoying because every girl was obsessing over it and over Edward. I think it is a good book for girls 12 and older .

Divergent

the book divergent by Veronica Roth is about a girl named Beatrice who in her distopia city has to chose a fraction (intelligent, brave, selfless, peaceful or honest). i was not the mom that chose this book my mom was and i have to say its one of the best books i ever read.
the book was adrenalin filled and full of action at times the book is slow but when it gets exciting it stays that way. the book is about Beatrice a girl from the selfless fraction and she hates it there but its her home. when people are 16 they can choose to change and Beatrice and her brother both switch to different factions. Beatrice later changes her name later in the book to Tris and she also falls in love.
I would recommend this book to teens and people who love action mixed with a little humor mixed with a little romance. this book is a great and easy read. this book is also in first person.

Go Ask Alice

The book "Go Ask Alice" there is not an author to this book, it is anonymous. It is about a girl who deals with a lot of different thing like drugs, moving away from her friends, and love. She starts doing drugs because she fall in love with someone but they didnt like her. Then she finds out some stuff and it turns her life around.

I thought that this was a good in some parts and boring in some other parts, there is alot of drama in it. If i were to rate it i would rate it 8 out of 10. :)

Watchers war

The book i read was called watchers war by peter larangis. the topic of the book is about time traveling to the Civil War . I read the book because i got it for christmas one year.
In the book a boy loves war especially the civil war and meets a movie director whos making a movie for the civil war . and the boy offers to give the director a tour of his town for the movie. when the boy runs to the grocery store for errends he is struck by lightning and when he wakes up he is in the civil war and has to fight to  survive or does he ?
two things i liked about the book was it was short and easy to read but beside that it was pretty awful. the age group its orriented too is younger kids who want to learn alot bit about war. i would recommend this book to younger kids or people who read anything.

Twilight

I read the book Twilight. I liked it, until he sparkeled. No real vampire sparkles. Look at "The Lost Boys" or "Interview With A Vampire", those are real vampires.

Anyway... The book was about Bella Swan, a girl who moved to Forks, Washington to live with her dad, officer Charlie Swan. During her first few weeks there, she meets the "hottest guy at school", and discovers his sparkley secret. He's a vampire.

I honestly don't know why so many girls are obsessing over the Twilight series. They aren't that great. But, like the "Beiber Fever", some crazes make absolutly no sence. I wouldn't really suggest this book to anyone.

Maximum Ride:Angel

Maximum Ride:Angel is written by James Patterson. It is the seventh book in the series. I read this amazing book because I have read the whole series and couldn't wait to read this one.

Maximum Ride:Angel starts out after Fang leaves the flock. Max is in shock and spends most of her time alone, working on her flying and fighting skills. Dylan, the gorgeous one who claims he was made to be her perfect half, flys up to her, fights and then kisses her. Then the flock gets word of the Doomsday group who worships the "One Light" and they are brainwashed into thinking that the human race is killing the earth so they want to wipe out the humans. Meanwhile Fang is starting his own flock and he gets Max's twin, now named Maya, to join his flock. They also hear about the Doomsday group and meet up with Max's flock to fight them.

I loved this book! It was AMAZING!!! The only thing that I didn't like is that Fang leaves with his flock at the end of the book and that upsets me since I like Fang much better than Dylan.I would reccomend this book to anyone since it has a lot of action and not a lot romance so guys can read it.

The Pirate Laffiate And the Battle Of new Orleans

The book i read is The Pirate Laffiate and the Battle of New Orleans by Robert Tallent. The book is about Laffiate a pirate during the 18th and 19th century. i choose the book because i liked history and the book looked cool.
the book is about a pirate during the battle of 1812 who turned into a privateer. It talked about who and why he turned into the privateer.and who he became a war hero in the Battle Of New orleans.
2 things i liked about the book was that it was historical and it was about a pirate. it is appropraite for any age i would recommend it to any history buff.

Catching Fire By: Suzanne Collins

The second book of the book series, The Hunger Games, written by Suzanne Collins is narrated by a girl named Katniss Everdeen. After the first book, The Hunger Games, she fights in the arena to survive, breaks the capitols rules, and falls in love, but is she really? Or is it just a act to stay alive? In this book the main characters are Haymitch, Ditrict 12's male mentor, Effie Trinket, District 12's female mentor, Peeta Mellark, Katniss' new "Stars crossed lover" and winner of the Hunger Games, Gale, Katniss' best friend and hunting partner, and Prim Everdeen, Katniss' younger sister.

In Catching Fire Katniss Everdeen once again gets into a whole new scary, heart breaking, and shocking adventure. Katniss and Peeta go on a Victor tour which is a visit to each district. When President snow makes a visit to her Victor home in District 12 everything goes wrong. He forces her to prove to Panem that she is head over heels for Peeta Mellark. Panem is starting to rebel against the capitol and Katniss is diffidently the sign of rebellion, or at least the Mokingjay is. After what Peeta and Katniss have done in the arena they may have helped create this uprising. Katniss should be happy there is an uprising right? After all she does despise the Capitol, or is she afraid of what might happen to her mother and sister? Gale? District 12? Or anyone she's ever loved? When Katniss and Peeta what Haymitch's arena tape they learn that Haymitch is a whole new person. Will this help them if they were to... be put back into the arena?

I chose to read this book because The Hunger Games kept me on the edge of my seat and i thought maybe the sequel will too. Catching fire caught a hold of me and I'd recommend it to anyone who are interested in the themes of love, action, mysteries, peace and war, journey, survival, or betrayal. If you get as attached to books as i do Catching Fire will diffidently make you cry, laugh, and feel like a new person. What i didn't like about this book is that the beginning is sort of boring and it looses me at first but i slowly get into the book as i read. Once i pick it up i just can't put it down. Anyone who reads this book should for sure read Mokingjay.

the secrets of peaches

The title of my book is the secret of peaches. It was written by Jodi Lynn Anderson. This book is not really about peaches. I chose the book becuse it hed an interesting cover.
The secrets of peaches is abot three very different girls who meet one summer on a peach orchard in georgia. Leeda comes from a rich, asumably perfect family but really has a broken past. Birdie comes from a sothern farm family with a huge peach orchard and divorced parrents. Murphy is from a family of just her and her mom and they live in a trailer. These three girls are best friends and this story has some very realistic but unexpected twists.
I think that this was an awesome book. I would probaly recomend this book to anyone who likes books that you can connect to and seem so realistic you would think that the story is really happeng while you are reading it. I would probably also only recommend this book to girls.

The Chronicles Of Narnia, The Magicians Nephew

The Magicians Nephew is the very first book of the Chronicles of Narnia by C.S Lewis, in the cold wet summer in England, a boy named Digory and a girl named Polly meet and become friends. They go on many adventures one includes spying on Digorys freaky uncle who they suspect to be a magician. they did this almost everyday until he caught them and instead of punishing them he asked them to try on these two rings that transported them to a strange place called Narnia. I would recommend this book and all the other Narnia books to anyone with an active imagination. They would really like it I know I did.

The Maze Runner

The book that I read was called The Maze Runner by James Dashner. The Maze Runner is about aboy named Thomas who appears in a metal elevator and does not remember who is.The reason that I read this book is because my friends were reading it and said that it was amazing.

After being in the elevator for a long time, Thomas is confronted by a group of boys who live in a place calle the Glade. The Glade is surrounded by doors that open during the day and close at night and anyone outside them at that time is stuck out there and killed. Thomas soon becomes friends with the Gladers. On the second day, a girl comes up and says that she is the last one ever. Thomas all so thinks that he is destined to be a runner. One day Thomas goes out to help save his friend that got wounded by a monster. Thomas and his friends gets stuck out there for the night. Thier chances of surviving are very slim. Will they survive the night??

This book is a great. The plot is very well written and is full of action, suspense and I couldn't put it down and it kept me on the edge of my seat. This book is perfect for teenagers. read it!!!!!!!!!!!!:):):):):):):):):)

Little Brother

I really liked Little Brother, and would recomend it to anyone who likes "What if" type of book. This book is about 3 kids who are in the wrong place when terrorists blow up the Bay bridge in California, and are accused of being terrorists. They set up a secret network using older versions of the original Xbox, and just cause chaos for the Military police occupying the LA area.

Harry Potter and the Oder of the Phoeinx

The book i read was called The Order of the Phoenix. The author of this book was J.k. Rowling.
The book was about the fifth year that harry was at Hogwarts. He was accused of a crime because he preformed magic in the presence of a muggle. The charges were dropped for the reason that the muggle was indangered. The Order of the Phoenix is an organization that try to protect people from evil. They had to take Harry in because they thought Lord Voldemort was going to try to kill Harry. They sent Harry and his friends to Hogwarts and this year there was a new dark atrs teacher Dolores Umbrige. She was so picky about everything. She tried to fire a teacher but Albus didn't allow it. She got Albus suspended and she became the headmaster.
This is the longest book I have ever read. I would recomened this book to mystery lovers.

NEW MOON :D

I read the book New Moon by Stephenie Meyer. This book was about love, and vampires vs werewolves vs Bella. I chose this book because i watched the first twilight movie and i liked it and wanted to see what was going to happen next. (yeah I'm a guy and like twilight :P )

New Moon was mainly about Edward leaving Bella and being heartbroken. Bella trys doing whatever she can to fill that hole i her heart that Edward left. She finds out that whenever shes with Jacob she forgets about Edward. Jacob soon leaves her because he doesnt wanna "hurt her". Bella jumps off a cliff into water because the adrenilon lets her see Edward. Edward finds out she did that because Alice (his sister thats not really his real sister) saw a vision of her jumping in the water. Edward wants to die so he goes to the Volturi so they can kill him. But they refuse because edward has a special gift of mind reading and they want im to join the Volturi. Edward doesnt want to. I cant say the ending cause it'll just give everything away :P but Bella proves to edward shes not dead and the Volturi see that she knows about vampires. The Volturi want her dead.

I liked this book because it has susspense and a little action towards the end. Also, i like how Bella does all this adrenilon stuff just to see Edward. The only thing I didnt like was how towards the middle of the book there are no vampires at all and it got a little boring. I would recommend this book to all of the twilight lovers.

Pictures Of Hollis Woods

I read this one because my close friend suggested it to me.

Hollis Woods is an orphan who is transfered from foster home to foster home even though she has a "heart of gold". When Hollis is finally placed in the home of a kind women, she finds herself going out on a limb to keep that place. She realises she had a family once, and they loved her. And, maybe it's not too late to get that feeling back.

I will admit, the first few chapters are slow and dull, but the farther you get in, the more intoxicatingly addictive it is!

I would recomend this to those who have heart.

The Chronicals Of Vladimir Tod: Eleventh Grade Burns

It's another aweful year at Bathory high for poor Vladimir Tod. Joss, the vampire slayer who is also Henry's cousin and Vlad's former friend, has moved back to town to put up another fight. And, the most power vampire in Elisha, Dorian, wants to drink Vlad's blood. Once again, Vlad's soul-sworn enemy is back. D'Ablo has pulled Uncle Otis to court and is accusing him of crimes against vampires. And this was supposed to be the year for Vlad to finally ask Margret out. But, when the tables turn, he only has enough time to go home to Bathory to say his good-byes.

I would recommend this book to anyone who likes vampires or action.

The Chronicals Of Vladimir Tod: Tenth Grade Bleeds

In Tenth Grade Bleeds, Vlad discovers dark secrets of the Elisian world.

The evil vampire D'Ablo is back! And this time he's hunting Vlad twice as hard! He seems to have found a ritual that can steal his powers. And, to add to the stress, Vlad finds it harder to resist human blood. Henry, Vlad's best friend, no longer wants to be his drudge. He figures that this year is going to be anything but normal. With the treat of D'Ablo he has to find a plan!

I would recomend this book to vampire and action lovers alike!

The Chronicals Of Vladimir Tod: Nineth Grade Slays

After reading Eight Grade Bites, I had to finish the series! In Nineth Grade Slays, things get tougher for Vlad.

If Vlad thought middle school stunk, he may want to think again! It only gets harder and he learns that fast. He becomes everyones' punching bag, his best friend's cousin is falling for his crush and he's being followed by a photographer for the school news paper.

And if he thought high school was hard, he finds out, mastering his vampire powers, is tougher. But, when he visits Siberia with uncle Otis, he has to train quick. For, back home he has a slayer waiting for him!

I would recomend this book to anyone who likes vampires or action.

The Pirate Laffiate and The battle Of New Orleans

in the book by Robert Tallent talks about the pirate laffiate in the war of 1812 .  It talks about how the pirate Liffiate turned from a pirate to a privateer and bacame a war hero in New Orleans

The Last Song

The Last Song by Nicholas Sparks is one of my favorite books! It's about a girl named Ronnie, who learns alot in a summer. It's romantic, and funny.

The Last Song is about a summer Ronnie and her brother had to spend with their dad in Georgia. She was dreading the whole trip, but ends up loving it. She meets a boy, a friend, a girl she doesn't like, and she loses someone along the way too. She changes who she hangs out with, and her whole personality that summer. I don't want to give too much away, so read it for yourself.

I loved how this book was really good! It's almost exactly like the movie, which is great too. I wish they would make another book to go along with it. It's really detailed, and makes it seem like your there too. I like how many characters there are, and how you never get confused about them. Make sure if your reading the book, you finish it before you watch the movie, or it ruins the book. I would reccomend this to all my friends, and any other girl who likes Nicholas Sparks. All the books by him are pretty much alike. They're all amazing!

400 pages! (Counts as two books!) :)

Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

The book that I read was called The Half blood Prince. It was written by J.k. Rowling.

This Harry Potter book was about when Harry gets a potion book that has all the right instructions. Hermione his friend was getting mad that she couldn't do the potions right and decided to find out why.

This was a long book and the book was very good. I would recomend this to people who like long books and mysteries.

752 pages long

Dear John

Dear John, by Nicholas Sparks is a great book. It's really good, and it didn't take a long time to read at all!

Dear John is about a girl named Savannah. She falls in love with a boy named John. He has to go away to the army, and they write letters the whole time.

I would reccomend this book to anyone who likes books by Nicholas Sparks. It's just another great book by him. But, I would say mostly girls would like this. I really liked how you didn't want to put it down, how fast you could read it, and how there is a movie too. I didn't like how long it was, how there isn't a sequal, and how it got confusing because he was always leaving. So, the book went into present day, and then into letters.

335 pages.

Go Ask ALice

I read "Go Ask Alice" there is no specifed author to this book. This book is about a young girl named alice who starts doing drugs and things she never imagined she would do.

Alice falls in love with someone, but he dosent seem to love her back. She goes to a party and they end up slipping her drugs without her realizing it. After this party her life completly turns around and she gets into drugs more and more.

I liked the way this book was written, and what the book was about. I really didnt find something that i didnt like about the book, it was one of my favorite books i've read so far this year. I would reccomend this book for someone more mature, the first time i tried reading this book i was in seventh grade and didnt seem to interested in it. This book could be for anyone depending on if you like books that involve drugs and "intimate" things.
The Enemy by Charlie Higson. The topic of this book is about kids trying to survive against zombies.

The story takes place in almost the center of London. There are groups of kids all across London fighting things called "grown ups". Grown ups are adults that have been turned into zombies by some strange disease. All threw the book kids try to fight them and most die. Some kid from the center of London came to this group of kids and told them of a safe place called Buckingham Palace. Then the journey to the palace begins and the fight for survival is never over.

Two things i liked about this book is that, there was never a boring part unlike most books. Another thing i liked is that the book is filled with action. There wasnt really anything i didnt like about the book. Its more of a guy book but theres alittle romance so both guys and girls would like this book.

Fablehaven secrets of the dragon sanctuary

The novel I read is Fablehaven secrets of the dragon sanctuary written by Brandon Mull. This book is about adventure and how two kids struggle with their new life. I choose this book because i have read the other ones and I love adventerous stories.

This book is about two kids Seth and Kendra who visit their grandparents and discover that their grandparents land is magical. All of the land is inhabited by fairys and all sorts of magical creatures. They go through hard times trying to stop evil from unleashing. Someone who likes adventure and dragons would like this.

The book that I read was called Leven Thumps and the Ruins of Alder. The author of this great book is Obert Skye. The reason that I read this book is because its the last book in the Leven Thumps series and I was already reading the series. This book is about Leven, Winter, Geth, and Geth traveling towards the gateway to Reality.

In this exciting book, Leven and his friends are making their journey to the gateway to Reality, although fate has very different plans for Leven and Clover. On the way, Leven and Clover are separated from Winter and Geth. Leven and Clover find themselves meeting unfinished business. The unfinished business must be killed before Leven can chop down the tree that tethers Reality to Foo. Leven has to chop down the tree to prevent all of the evil beings from getting into Reality and taking it over. Can Leven and Clover chop down the tree in time? Were Leven and Winter meant to be together? See what fate has planned for these extraordinary people in this amazing book.

Two things that I liked about this book were the gripping plot, and the detail that the author used. The only thing that I didn’t like about his book was that at some points in the book, it was slowly paced. This book is appropriate for teenagers or people who like compelling, adventurous books.

The Lovely Bones By:Alice Sebold

The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold is a very good book. The book is about a fourteen year old girl named Susise Salmon that gets murderd on Dec. 6,1973. Susise always looks over her family. She watches over her family and her killer from heaven. It was winter when she got murder she was walking home from school and taking the short way, to get home faster. Then she got murderd.

This is a very good book, i would rate it 9 out of 10. Its a nice book to read and it is very instersting to read. It is about 300 pages. :)

Impulse by Ellen Hopkins

Impulse is yet another book by Ellen Hopkins that I have read. As you may (*or should*) know, I have read all the Ellen Hopkins' books. :) Anyways, I have read the book Impulse, which is about three teens, who all tried to commit suicide but failed.

Tony, Vanessa, and Conner all have screwed up lives. Vanessa's mom is schizophrenic, Tony's gay and his father abandoned him, and Conner is a twin that can't live up to his perfect sister. Tony's best friend, Phillip died, and Tony swallows pills. Conner is just finished with everything and pulls the trigger, but he misses his heart. Vanessa cuts herself, and is found by her brother. When they all arrive, they all instanly click. Tony and Conner are in love with Vanessa and Vanessa's in love with both. Who will she choose before someone hits the deep end?

I chose Impulse because I planned to read all Ellen Hopkins' books. The sequel to Impulse comes out in September and I hope it's good. This book was amazinq and I'd have to rate it 5 stars.

Why Me? by,Sarah Burleton Amber Becker

This book is about a girl who grew up with an abusive mother and a mean stepfather and a little sister who was born when she was 9.Her mother was an alcoholic and phyco same as her stepfather. While her sister was always being loved she was starving herself and being beaten to death . She had a rough child hood and soon grew out of the pain and punishments.

The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe

The book i read is "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" by C.S. Lewis. This book is about a little girl named Lucy and she enters a whole new world by going to far back in a wardrobe. I chose this book because i saw it sitting up on my bookshelf and thought it would be easy to read.
Four children named Peter, Susan, Edmund, and Lucy all have to go to an old house owned by a professor. While they were exploring the house the decided to play hid and go seek and that's when Lucy found the wardrobe in the empty room. While she was in the wardrobe she met a fawn name Mr.Tumnus. He told her that she was in Narnia and that there was an evil witch that says shes the queen even though shes not. When she got back she told her brothers and sister about it so they went to check it out and it was just a normal wardrobe. Then one day they all had to hide in the wardrobe to get away from tourists in the house and they kept moving back farther until they got to Narnia. The witch hired Edmund to bring them all back to her castle and not to come back alone, but of course he did and she took him prisoner. Now Aslan is coming back to Narnia, they save Edmund and have a huge war with the witch. After the war they all become the kings and queens of Narnia.
Two things i liked about the book is that its a good book ands a quick read. I didn't like the book because it wasn't over four hundred pages and if it was i still would have finished it really fast because its a good book. I think this book would be great for anyone as long as they can read.

Star Wars Jedi Quest The Trail Of The Jedi

The name of this book is Star Wars Jedi Quest The Trail Of The Jedi by Jude Watson. Anakin Skywalker and Obi Wan Kenobi go on a journey for their teacher Wren and it was a master-padawan team. On their journey the y discover something evil is on the planet. I picked this book because I like Star Wars. Anakin and Obi Wan follow clues set up by someone else that they don't know but it leads them to the wrong way so then they meet this girl named Floria and she said that her friends died then they went and killed a tursha. Then when they went to their cruiser a dark figure stood then Floria noticed it was her brother Dane. They both confessed and told them everything then they learn more throughout the book. I liked how they searched for clues and tricked the bounty hunters. I didn't like how they didn't see that Floria was lying and how she screamed when she saw her brother. Anyone can read this. Yes I would give this to a friend. Anyone that likes Star Wars.

Leven Thumps and the Wrath of Ezra

The book that I read was called Leven Thumps and the Wrath of Ezra ( the fourth book in the series). The talented author of this book is Obert Skye. The reason that I chose this book was because I started to read the first one and it was really good so I went on in the series. The book is about Leven Thumps and his friends and his sycophant, Clover, trying to stop the Dearth from getting into reality, taking it over and then ruling it.

Foo is a realm inside the mind of each of us that allows mankind the power to hope, imagine, and dream. Leven Thumps, a boy from Oklahoma, has been taken from Reality and sent to destroy all of the bad beings, the Dearth, Azure, and Ezra the toothpick, from invading and ruling Reality. This happens when the war to unite Foo with Reality starts. Leven, who is now also the Want, must race against time to get across Foo with Geth, Winter, and his sycophant, Clover, in order to stop the war which has already begun. Meanwhile, along the shores of Sycophant Run, the Dearth is getting lots of help from Azure and his army of rants and other beings trying to merge Foo with Reality. The clever sycophants would have this situation under control, but the secret of their mortality has finally gotten out and Clover and all of the other sycophants are in more danger than ever.

Two things that I liked about this book are that is is perfectly paced and it has a exciting plot. There was nothing that I didn't like about this book. This book is appropriate for teenagers who like a good book and series. Anyone with a good imagination would like this book.

Prom

Prom by Laurie Halse Anderson is about a highschool prom that almost gets cancelled because a math teacher stole the money for prom.

In the beginning a girl named Ashley Hannigan doesn't see herself at prom. She's a normal kid, a kid that gets by. She would have dropped out when she was sixteen, but her fifth grade teacher knew she had a class of normal kids and told them that they had to graduate and get a diploma and a GED didn't count. Ashley was graduating and then leaving her parents house to live with her drop out boyfriend in their own appartment. She was ready for to school to be over and she was going to get out without having to do much the rest of the year. Until.....

Her friend who was planning the whole prom was devistated when everyone found out the math teacher stole all the money for prom. Ashley couldn't just sit there and do nothing. She had to help.

Two things I liked about this book were the way Ashley cared to help her friend and the way the book ends. Two things I didn't like were the math teacher and Ashley can't go to prom, even though she planned the whole thing, because she didn't make up all of her detentions. I would recommmend this book to others.

The Witches by Roald Dahl is about witches that plan to wipe out every kid. Witches despise these kids.

There are a few ways to tell if a witch is a witch. The witches do things to children all over the world and these things make children turn into many different things. The Grand High Witch says ALL children must be wiped out, but can one kid stop them? Read to find out.

I liked this book because it was funny and interesting. I disliked this book because sometimes it was worded weird and there were many typos. I recommend this book to everyone 5th grade and under.

The kid's father brought home a clock, it was cursed. When the kid went to bed the clock would move and take him around back to the past until he was a baby. The clock tries to bring him back so he will never exist. I liked how the kid stopped the clock and how he saved himself. I didn't like how his sister was a jerk and that his b-day was ruined. TTYL

I read a book called TTYL. The author of this book is Lauren Myracle. I chose this book because my friend, recommended it to me, and it looked interesting. This book is mainly about 3 best friends, and how they survive 10th grade.

TTYL is about 3 best friends, Maddie (mad maddie), Angela (SnowAngel), and Zoe (zoegirl). The writing in parentheses is their IM (instant messaging) names. They instant message each other nearly every day, and talk about the troubles and challenges of high school. There is drama, and they are there for each other. There are a lot of exciting events, and the book can keep you wondering what will happen next. If you want to know what these exciting events are, what the drama is, and if they all stay best friends...read TTYL.

I enjoyed reading TTYL. Two things that I liked about the book was that the whole book is written in instant messages, so it is a fast read. I also liked that there was so many interesting events, and it was sometimes hard to put down because I wanted to know what was going to happen next. Two things that I didn't like are how it got a little confusing sometimes, and that sometimes it felt like you were waiting for something to happen. I think this book is appropriate for anyone in middle school and up. I would recommend this book to my friends. I would rate this book 5 stars!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
