Anastasia's Secret

I read Anastasia's Secret by Susanne Dunlap. This book is about the last Russian princess's secret relationship. I choose this book because it was one of the books my Kindle reccomended.
Anastasia was the youngest grand duchess who nobody paid attention to. She met one of the palace guards name Sasha and started secretly meeting him. He teaches her what life was like outside of the palace and what everybody really thinks about her parents, the tsar and tsarevich of Russia. It started out as just a friendship, but when Sasha is sent to war it turns into much more. When Sasha returns from war he is no longer the same person he was before he left. Anastasia also realizes that Sasha is her and her family's last hop to survive against their own country.
I liked the suspense that this book had and the love story between Anastasia and Sasha. I didn't like that there was parts of the book that were in Russia or the people's names were Russian and I don't speak Russian so it was hard to understand sometimes. I think this book is appropriate for ages 12 and older because Anastasia's and Sasha's relationship is very intimate to say the least. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to watch chick flicks or likes love stories.
