DOGSONG

                                       DOGSONG :By GARY PAULSON.
DOGSONG is a book about an Eskimo man named Russel Suskitt that hates the way his village is and always complained about it.So one day Eskimo Shaman Oogruk couldnt take his complaing anymore so he said this qoute to Russel "You must leave with the dogs. Run along and find your self. When you leave me you must head north and take meat and see the country. When you do that you  will become a man." So Russel Suskitt did he took a dog team and sled to escape the ways his village is and to find his "song" - his real self.He traveled along ice slopes, tundra, and mountains. But on his trip there he keeps having the same dream  about another person who was long ago but is parallel to his own adventure. Then he sees that his dream starts becoming true when he has to save himself and a pregnant Eskimo girl he has rescued. He has to kill a Polar bear just like in his dream to save themselves. But in the end he called himself a man and finally found his real self and thanks to his dogs for pulling him all around the country and to help him get out of cold weather so fast  and always being there for him. I would recomend this book to  someone who likes dogs and heart wrenching stories, also who have a big amagination.
