The Shadow Project

The book I read was The Shadow Project by Herbie Brennan. This book's genre is science fiction and spying. I chose this book because it was a different type of spying book. Instead of the usual spying, in this book the characters spy by using astral projections.
In this book Danny Lipman discovers a secret agency, the Shadow Project, that uses teenagers as spys. These spys are trained to use their "second body" to travel around the world on dangerous missions. These "second bodies" appear by astral projections. The project leaders learn that Danny has a speacial gift. When one of the operatives, Opal, is in danger Danny must join the project. Danny, Opal, Michael, and Danny's grandmother , Dorothy, must travel to the astral plain to save the project.
One thing I liked about this book was the suspense. It kept the reader (me) wanting to read.
Also I liked how the book was organized. Each chapter let you know the different character's point of view and feelings. One part I didn't like was when Fran, one of the workers at the project, was killed. This book is appropriate for people ages 11-14. People who like action/adventure books will like this book. Also people who read Anthony Horowitz's Alex Rider books will enjoy reading this book.
