Crank By: Ellen Hopkins
This book is about a girl named Kristina who was sent to her fathers house in Albuquerque, Far from where she lived in Reno. This book shows the highs and lows of being addicted to drugs. The trip turned out much different than she had planned. At her fathers house she meets a boy names Adam A.k.a Buddy. Buddy introduces her to "The monster". While Kristina was at her fathers house she introduced herself to people as "Bree". Bree was her alter-ego. Someone who was carefree, outgoing, and fun while her true self Kristina was shy and the complete opposite of "Bree". Bree fell inlove with Adam. But sooner than later she had to go home, back to reno. Bree and Adam wrote letters back and forth but there love for eachother quickly ended. By this point she was so addicted to the monster she would do ANYTHING to get her hands on it. In this she wound up dating two guys. Chase who soon left for college and Brendon who is not who you think he is. Some things between Kristina and Brendon occur and a very unexpected swist occurs. I guess you will just have to read the book to find out. This is a very good book along with all of the books written by Ellen Hopkins and i strongly recomend her to teens.
