A.D. New Orleans After the Deluge

The book I read was A.D. New Orleans After the Deluge. A.D. is a nonfiction graphic novel written by Josh Neufeld. I chose this book because it is the freshman summer reading book for The College At Brockport and I thought it would be interesting to read.
A.D. tells the first hand stories of Denise, Leo and Michelle, Abbas and Darnell, Kwame, and The Doctor or Brobson during Hurricane Katrina. Their stories are told  from the first stages of Katrina, during Katrina, after Katrina, and what it was like for them to return to New Orleans after Katrina. A.D. helps illustrate the events in a comic book kind of way.
One thing I liked about this book was the way it portayed the stories of some of the people effected by Hurricane Katrina in an easy to understand way. Also I liked the way A.D. was well organized into "the before, the during, the after, and the return." I would recommend this book to people ages 10 and up who would like to learn more about Hurricane Katrina and who would like to read a nonfiction graphic novel.
