Tangerine

I read a book called Tangerine by Edward Bloor. I chose this book to read because I was the cover and it really caught my eye because it had a soccer ball on it. So I read the back of the book to see what that book was about, and it sounded very interesting to me so I starting reading it. This book is about a boy who has a tiny medical condition, this boy loves to play soccer. So the boy went to soccer practice ready to play and just then his coach tells him he can't play because of his medical condition.

The boy wanted to be able to play soccer but he had to wait a little while until he could transfer to a different school where he could play soccer, so eventually he did move and he tried out for hat soccer team and he made it!! Also he met a new friend while he was there, actually he met quite a few kids there, of course they were on the soccer team. Then he transferred back to his original school and had no one to talk to because his beat friend had found a new best friend. Read the book and you'll find out what happens next!!

Two things I liked about the book are that it was about soccer. Also I liked that he could play soccer again because I myself got frustrated that he couldn't play. Two other things that I didn't like were that he couldn't play with something that he has played with all his life. Also I didn't like that he went to a new school then went back to his old school then back again, too much moving around.I think that kids that like soccer would like this book. I think this book is good for ages between ten through thirteen. I would recommend this book to my friends because all of them enjoy the sport of soccer. If I had to rate this book I would give it 4 stars.
