the title of the book is The Bastard by John Jakes.the book takes place in the 1760-1770s and is set in three countries France,Britin,Thirteen colonis(north america). i choose thi book because i like history and my dad recomended it to me.
in the book the Bastard you meet phillipe carboneau a french teenage boy who works for his mother inn.He finds out he has a father in Britin who is help paying for his mothers failing inn and his studies. so he and his mother pack of to britin.
two things i liked about the book are it is very historical and you meet historical figuers like the edes brothers,Ben Franklin,Paul revere,Samuel Adams and more.two things i didnt like it is 600 ! pages and it does get boring at some parts.its apprpriate for more mature people. I'd recommend this book to anyone who really likes history and fighting books
