I read a great book called Along for the Ride. This book was written by Sarah Dessen. This is a fictional book. I chose to read this book because I love her writing.
In this book Auden just want to live a normal life. Even when she was little she was forced to play the role of little adult to make her mother happy. Then her parents divorced and life got worse. So she goes to spent the summer with her dad, his new wife, and her new baby sister. She ends up with a summer job in her step-mom's boutique, and makes some new friends, and gets introduced to a boy. Eli and Auden make a great couple, if not as boyfriend and girlfriend as best of friends. Both are night owls, and Eli help introduce Auden to the night life of Colby. When there together it is like the whole world goes to a stand still. Auden is on a quest to experience a regular teenagers life and Eli wants to leave his tragic past behind, they both help one another to fulfill their quests.
I loved the subtle romance going on in this book, I also liked the crazy twists and turns this book takes you through. This book is appropriate for 12+. If you like romance novels you will like this book.
