The Running Man

  The book I read was The Running Man by Richard Bachman aka Stephen King.  This is a science fiction novel that I chose to read because I've been enjoying a lot of Stephen King books.
  This story takes place in 2025 in the midwest. Ben Richards, a citizen of Co-Op City, is out of work and is blacklisted from his trade. Ben is in dire need of money and resorts to joining the government's violent game network to get money for his dying daughter. Ben goes through extensive tests all to keep his family alive.
  Two things I liked about this book were it was similar to the Hunger Games in the sense of a violent broadcasting network showing people kill each outher.  
Another thing I liked were the plot was very unpredictable. I would recommend this book for anyone 13+. I would also recommend this to a friend or anyone who likes a Hunger Games esk book.
