The Silver Chair by C.S. (Clive Staples) Lewis is one of the books in the fantasy series, The Chronicles of Narnia. This book was a choice to read because of the class reading last year.

In this installment of the Chronicles, Eustace Scrubb (a character from the previous book) and Jill Pole go about the usual miscellaneous entrance into the land of Narnia, where they embark upon a cavalcade of adventure across the northern reaches of Narnia with the assistance of a swamp creature, Puddlegum, and eventually into the bowels of the planet itself. Though entailing upon the events subsequent to their venture would be giving spoilers, it is quite exciting, rest assured.

This installment, as with all of the books in the Chronicles, is a large thrill, and the story premise is simply invigorating. The book is appropriate for older children and tweens, as well as any-aged adult who wishes to be whisked into these amazing tales.
