Daniel was a wild explorer he went every and loved the wilderness he explored everywhere he started at age twelve he started out very young wanting to explore his mom said he was very curious. He was the first white man to cross the Appalachian Mountains and explore the region of which is now called Kentucky. He new the most of american culture they called him the frontiersman. They also called him the independant spirit. He also loved hunting he shot his first bear at age thirteen. He was friends and foe with the Native Americans who lived in Kentucky. He always wanted to keep going and explore more and new land so he desired to move westward he played a big role in the growth of America. He basically founded the whole west part of america. I would recomend this book to anybody who loves learning about the world and how it was founded and if they like wilderness stories or about tribes and different cultural.
