Catching Fire, by Susanne Collins, is the sequel to the #1 book in America, The Hunger Games. Catching Fire continues the story of Katniss Everdeen as she and her fellow District 12 tribute, Peeta Mellark, are crowned Victors and are sent to each district on a tour. President Snow is in Katniss' head as she leads the citizens of Panam in this remarkable rebellion.
Katniss and Peeta are sent back into the arena for a second tine, due to a Quarter Quell, stating that all Victors still alive from each district are to enter in the Reaping. Katniss, Peeta and Haymitch, being the only 3 Victors from 12, don't have to worry about who's going back. Katniss and Peeta start training for the arena and they meet the other Victor tributes.
While in the arena, Katniss and Peeta make alliances with Finnick O'dair and Mags, the Victors of District 4, and Beetee and Wiress, the Victors of District 2. Katniss and Peeta don't trust Finnick. When something crazy happens, Katniss is ultimately rebelling against the Capitol.
