The Mockingjay

  I chose to read The Mockingjay which was written by Suzanne Collins. This book's genre is science fiction. I chose to read this book because I have read the first two books in the "Hunger Games Trilogy."
  The Mockingjay is all about Katniss coming home from her rescue from the Hunger Games. She and a few other tributes are rescued but Peeta and Johanna are captured and held prisoner by the Capitol. Katniss and the few tributes are located to District 13, which is supposedly destroyed but managed to survive and live underground, since district 12 was destroyed by the Capitol in a bombing. Katniss is the symbol of the rebellion, "The Mockingjay." She and the government of 13 work together to create "propos" and help the rebellion spread across Panem. Once they rescue Peeta and Johana they find out Peeta has been injected with Tracker Jacker poison which whenever he thinks of Katniss he thinks of a bad memory about her, and thinks shes evil, and wants to kill her. So Peeta is under heavy watch while Katniss and 13 keep helping the rebellion by visiting districts and taking control of them. Now that Katniss and 13 have all the districts under control they go after the Capitol. Find out what happens by reading the book yourself.

  I liked basically everything about this book, especially the action. I didnt like what the Capitol did to some prisoners. I think ages 12 and up would be age appropriate for this book. People who like action and war tactics would like this book. I would definetly recomend this book to my friends.
