A King's Ransom

The book I chose to read was A King's Ransom, by Jude Watson. This book's genre is adventure. I chose this book because my friends said it was a good book and said I should read it.
This book is all about a 13 year old Dan Cahill and his older sister Amy Cahill who have do almost impossible missions requested by a sinister organization called Vespers. The Vespers have 7 of Dan and Amy's family members hostage. Their mission is to get a ancient map called the de Virga. The only problem is the map hasn't been seen for almost a century. Amy and Dan travle across Europe finding clues to lead them to the map with help from Ian Kabra, Dan and Amy's cousin, Evan, Amy's boyfriend, and Amy's friend, Sinead. They run into trouble here and there but manage to get the map. Then things go from good to bad and someone else becomes hostage from twins that are a part of the Vespers called the Wyomings. Find out who is captured and much more when you read this book.
I liked everything about this book, there was nothing that I didn't like about this book. I think ages 11-16 years old are age appropriate for this book. People who like action and spy stuff would love this book. This is a book I would definetly recommend to my friends.
