Assassins Creed the Secret Crusade: by Oliver Bowden

Assassins Creed : The Secret Crusade is about the legendary Assassin, Altair Ibn-La'Ahad, and his journeys around the world. In the beginning, it tells you about his father, Umar Ibn-La'Ahad, who was a Master Assassin also. One of Umar's Assassin Brothers, has been caught by enemies. He steps up and takes the place on an execution block. He places his head on the block, and hears Altair's voice. Poor Altair. A few years later, when Altair is in his quarters, Abbas's father, which is the one who was caught by the enemies, does something, unforgettable. My favorite part was Altairs return home. After killing his targets, and bringing peace to Masyaf, he is faced with a more difficult challenge. Abbas, his once so called "brother" was the leader of Masyaf, after putting Altairs friend, Malik in the dungeon, for accuse of murder. Altair tries to take back leadership, but is too late. Angry, and frustrated, Altair remembers something. He has a device, that could turn man against man. He uses it... after using the device, his loving wife is killed, and so are some Assassins loyal to Abbas. At the end of the book, Altair finds Malik's son, who isn't loyal to Abbas, along with other Assassins. Maliks son and other Assassins gather up all of the citizens in Masyaf, to overthrow Abbas, and make Altair the master once more.
