Glass

I recently read a book by Ellen Hopkins.  It is called Glass.  This is the sequel to Crank also by Ellen Hopkins.  I finished this quickly and i loved it.
This is mainly about a girl named Kristina who is addicted to crystal meth.  In this book she has had her baby and named him Hunter.  She keeps on going with her meth addiction even though she tried to stop.  She keeps trying ot conrol her problem but she cant.
She ends up going back to her old ways and leaving the baby with her mother.  She has learned there are many more hard core drugs than that and now she is using them too.  She is getting to the point with her mother where she is wanting to kick her out.  She has to still go to school and most of the time she is on withdrawl.
She is treadin on thin water with her mom because she has found out about her drug addiction even though she has been trying very hare to hide it.
In the end she ends up having to give her mother her baby.  In the next book it explains what happens to her child.
To things I did not like about this book was that it was very drawn out.  Also that is was boring at some parts.  Two things I liked were about how her mother was the real hero and I liked that it was short and easy to read.  I think the reading level would be 7 out of 10.  I would reccomend this book for anyone who likes reading about drug addiction.
