The Reptile Room

The Reptile Room is the second book in "The Series of Unfortunate Events", written by Lemony Snicket. The genre of this book is fiction. I chose to read this because I read the first in the series and enjoyed it.
The Baudelaire orphans (Violet, Klaus, and Sunny) are on the move again. They are now staying with Montgomery Montgomery (Uncle Monty), a reptile expert. They are particularly enjoying their time here, preparing for their expedition to Peru to research new reptile species. At least they are until they come across a new lab assistant, claiming to go my the name of "Stephano". He seems very familiar and suspicious to the children. They know this is not going to be a fun trip after all with this guy, once they realize who it is. Things just go downhill from there.
Two things I enjoyed about this book were that it was interesting to read and mysterious, which are the books I like to read. Two things I disliked about this book were that the chapters were very long and some of the names were hard to pronounce. I would recommend it to people who enjoy mysteries, ages 12-15. It is appropriate for people with a reading level of around 7/10.
