The book I read was "The Battle of The Labrynth" by: Rick Riordan. The topic of the story is mythology, suspense, action, and the teensiest bit of love. I chose this book because I started reading the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series and got hooked like a guppy on a shark line.
In "The Battle of The Labrynth", Percy is getting chased by monsters all around Manhattan-not to mension every school he's been in. He is a son of the Sea God. One of the big three, or, Zeus, Poseidon, and Hades. His father is Poseidon. Every summer he goes to Camp Half Blood, where many children of the gods take shelter from the monsters and evils of the world. Percy's best friend - not to mension girlfriend - is Annabeth Chase. A daughter of Athena. Percy wanted to make his father proud of him. But, his father isn't allowed to talk to his child directly to let him know how proud he is of him. Annabeth wants to become the worlds greatest arcitechtural designer, but, she can't meet Daedelus so she dicides to study maps of his gratest work. The Labrynth. Percy has a protector, a Satyr. His name is Grover. He is on the search for Pan. The god of the wild.
The two things I liked best about the book are its action and suspense. There is nothing I didn't like about this book. I think this book is aproppreate for 11+ year olds. People who like mythology would LOVE this book.
