when zoey first gets marked her best friend K acted like a different person and was affraid of zoey.zoey was walking to her car when her ex boy friend heath came up to her and started saying how much he wanted her back and everything but then he saw her mark and ran out of thare.zoey went to look for her grandmother for help and fell and hit her head. she all of a sudden she was standing in front of her body when she heard someone call her name. the person who called her name was the vampyre godess.she told zoey that she was special . zoey woke up to being in the house of night with her grandmother by her bed side. neferet the high priestess showed her to her dorm room. she shared the dorm with a girl named stevie rae.stevie rae also hates a girl named aphrodite. aphrodite is a very mean girl who is also the leader of the dark daughters.the dark daughters are a group of girls that think that they are better than everybody else. zoey gets invited to be one of the dark daughters and she accepts it. that is when she discovers that she has the power over all of the elements ( air water fire earth and spirt.) zoey has to figure out how to use her powers. this book is for girls that like romance books that are fiction. this book is for people who are 14 years old. i would rate this book about a 8 out of 10 for its fantastic ending and everything else. the one thing i did not like about this book is that its just another vampire book even though vampire is spelled vampyre in this book witch i also dont really like. this series has 5 other books in the series. this is the first book in the series. i chose this book because it was recomended to me by a friend. i would recomended to my friends.
