Searching for David's Heart

I recently finished a great book called "Searching for David's Heart" by Cherie Bennett. This book is mostly realistic fiction. It shows realistic events that could happen but didn't in the story. I chose this book because it seemed interesting to me.
Darcy, the main character, faces many struggles that might result danger and death all because of what she did and what happened. Darcy's brother, David, died all because of someone and something...Darcy! With that, his parents decided to deliver all David's organs to other people. That isn't the only struggle though! For the worse, her parents always fight. Not only money issues but also PROBLEMS!! Somehow, Darcy got the idea of running away from home and searching for David's heart. Darcy can feel that somewhere out there, David's heart is beating. She know that it is illegal for a 12 year old to travel without an adult. So she and her friend, Sam, went out to find the heart of David in a person. Hiding, running away from police, and many more struggles that they dealed with on their way. Two things that I liked about this book is that it was very cute and sweet. I also I liked that it is very loving of how strong a relationship between a sister and a brother can be. Age recommendations would be 9+. The reading level would be 3/10. I would recommend it to a friend. People who like reading would like this book.
