Burned

    I read the book called Burned. The author of this book is Ellen Hopkins. There are 5 other books in this which are called Crank, Glass, Impluse, Identical, and Tricks. This book is about how all the struggles a young girl named Pattyn had to go through.

     Pattyn is a 17 year old girl who has a father that is a drunk and is very abusive. Pattyn family is very religous , well at least her dad is. Her father believes that women should not have rights,so he usually beats their mother. Pattyn has to take care of her 6 sisters. Pattyn gets sent to her aunts house because she got in trouble by her father and that was what her punishment was. As she is living she is finding out that she is liking it their and is finding a new love. When she lives with her aunt she starts find out that she can love and have conifendce in her self.

   This book was one of my favorites. One thing I liked about this book is it shows how people can change and to never give up on your self. There wasn't really anything that I did not like about this book. I would reccomend this book to a friend.
